Coffee Decaf Organic Espresso Bel Canto Whole Bean Coffee, 12 oz

For health reasons, I've had to cut back on caffeine and I've been looking for a full flavored decaf espresso. I'm so glad I tried this brand as it is by far the BEST decaf to pull espresso shots! Rich aroma and flavor without being bitter, which is perfect for an espresso machine. I wouldn't recommend this blend for a french press or drip coffee, as it might be too dark using those methods. But it's perfect for shots for your lattes and cappuccinos! HIGHLY recommended!

Because of menopause my doctor has strongly advised me NOT to drink coffee any more. But I love coffee, not because of caffeine, I don’t need that to pick me up in the morning, I just love the flavor, not any coffee flavor, but strong coffee with a bit chocolaty sort of dark flavor. I’m not a fan for bitterness so I do add soy creamer, and I don’t like my coffee sour. So my search for a good decaf began. I then learnt that the usual process to make decaf is not healthy. Only Swiss Water Process is safe, that made my search harder. So glad I found this one. The flavor is strong and chocolate taste is obvious. No acidity that I can detect, so with my creamer in, it’s a perfect cut of smooth coffee that I love. Only problem is that sometimes they run out of stock! So I either buy 3 packs in one go or order their big bag. Please please please, Allegro, continue to thrive!

I've gone through almost the whole bag and I've had no acid reflux from this coffee like I have from other decaf coffees. Granted it is a little bitter but, it's a nice decaf coffee. I now add in a little pure honey and it tastes great. about 1/8 tsp or less of honey compared to 1 tsp of sugar. I knock off 1 star as the price has gone up since the first time I bought this. Although it seems that all coffee is getting expensive. A shame, as coffee is the only hot beverage that helps with the phlegm.

If you are looking for decaf beans to make espresso that is bold and smooth and doesnt have that obviously decaf just not quite right quality... you have come to the right place. Stop shopping and buy these beans. I've tried So so so many brands and varieties and decaf never fails to disappoint. HOWEVER, I have found the one! This decaf makes amazing espresso. In days past I would just give in and drink more caffeine if i wanted coffee but now sometimes I go straight for this one even first thing in the morning because its just that delicious!

Good flavor, but the beans are a little oily for my liking. They have led to some static issues during grinding. Produces a nice decaf espresso shot though!

This the best Swiss Water Allegro Coffee Decaf Organic Espresso Bel Canto Whole Bean Coffee 12oz and the bean smell so good /even when brewing. Have been buying for a long -long time and now not sure why is not available. Hopefully Amazon will restock soon.

Edited: Below you'll find my original review where I mentioned that my wife didn't like this coffee all that much. But now after using it almost all up she told me to order some more - "I like it better now," she said. So, let that influence your decision! Actually, I think buying it a second time is a pretty good recommendation! Original Review: I am not a coffee connoisseur. In fact, the only kind of coffee I like is Mocha coffee. That's what I have been making from this, and I like it. My wife wanted it for the decaf beans. She's glad it's decaf coffee, but she says that the flavor isn't all that much to her liking. I can't really tell you why. She likes a famous coffee that tastes stellar to her but costs more bucks than she wants to spend, so this brand (and its good reviews) was attractive to her. I doubt that she will tell me to get more of it, but I would buy it if it were up to me. I'm afraid this isn't all that informative review, it being from a person who doesn't generally like coffee and from another who doesn't drink all that much either, but it's the best I can do!
