Saves a lot of faff when painting fine detail on models. The black and white are ideal for instrument panels. The silver is especially good. Nice matt finish except for the silver and gold. Can take acrylic varnish over it ok. Some of the colours do not flow as well as the others (green and yellow were a bit disappointing). Easy to use, give them a shake and press the nib down on a piece of paper and test the flow of paint before applying to the model.- Added review 2 months later (Demoted from 5 star to 3 star)- Only the Silver pen is still working as it should, that is excellent. All the others have stopped "flowing" and instead I'm having to use them as paint "dispensers" - pressing down on a piece of plastic to get blobs of paint which I then apply with a normal fine brush. As such I do not consider my money wasted, It's still less faff than opening individual pots of paint. - But I can see that some people would be very disappointed.

The description highlights that the nibs are replaceable - Great, but try finding them.As for the pens themselves, they work just great if you use them properly. Never press down on the nib on your actual artwork, as this triggers a blob of paint to get the flow going. Use a scratch pad first, then go to your artwork/modelColours are good and vibrant, metallic is very nice, and they stand up under acrylic lacquer without issues.I use these for fine detail on scale models, so half the colours in the pack are of little use to me, but it's worth it for the others that are.Putting the lid back on soon and properly will keep your nibs flowing, I tested one pen when I got them, and left it unused but covered for 2 months, worked fine with no problems.

Initially these were great for fine lines but the next day it seems I have two that won’t right/colourI am going to clean the tips with hot water to see if that helps which is a shame because others are great

Great pens a little difficult at first to write with but all it takes is patience as you have to hold down the pen and wait a few seconds before the ink flows but when in operation great it has been a great asset to my current artwork! xxx

I am a war gamer and bought these pens for fine detail work on painted figures. I like the grip of the barrel for the pens which assists with my accuracy in use, the coverage onto the acrylic painted surface is excellent. The pen gives good colour application and when looked in close detail a sharp edge to details like trouser stripe, rank badges and epaulettes and piping. Overall a very good product

These pens are brilliant if they worked ok, i followed the instructions on how to use but if i don`t hold the nib down long enough i don`t get and paint but if i hold it down a second or to longer i just get a big blob of paint drop down.

Does come out suddenly and causes blobs
