I ordered this before our December trip to Portugal as I wanted something less bulky than my proper winter jackets but warmer than my summer rain jackets. This one is absolutely perfect for rainy winter in the Mediterranean climate! (And it's proven equally useful in L.A. where I live now that our winter storms have finally arrived.) It is truly wind and waterproof, and the thin flannel lining provides enough warmth. The hood is nice and deep and actually protects not only the hair but also the face from the rain. O n colder days/evenings in Porto I just wore a warmer sweater or layers underneath, and when the sun came out and it was too hot to walk on the hilly streets of Lisbon or at The Algarve, it was easy to tie the sleeves around the strap of my shoulder bag and not worry about it falling off and getting lost.I also like that it has long enough sleeves for my long arms (I'm 5' 10", 135 lbs, and my usual size M fits me great).I also like the deep zippered pockets, and the fact that it is very flattering thanks to the hidden waist string inside.I was a bit nervous before ordering it, despite all the good reviews, thinking that - given the price - it will look and feel cheap. But all the other 5-star reviews are accurate - it's very well made and could easily be sold at a department store for several times more.

Buy this coat. It has quickly become my new favorite. Quality seems good but I haven't had it very long yet only few weeks. Runs true to size or a bit big. The length is great, mid thigh but I am shorter. I go between medium and large shirts, 34F and muscular shoulders and arms. I have no issues fitting a sweatshirt under this jacket in size Large. I could have gotten away with medium if I wanted it snug but I prefer the large for extra room. The hood is nice size fits all my hair. The coat is water resistant great for light rain or just going in and out etc but would not protect you for long periods of time in heavy rain as the seems are not taped. The material is very nice soft outside and fleece interior. It has a sturdy feel not cheap or flimsy. Love the double zipper for when in the car. So far this jacket has been really comfortable for me in the 30s-50s. I would need another layer for 30s if outside for a long time but it's perfect for running errands and I have a long commute so it keeps me warm enough until the car warms but then I'm not sweating after. I was a bit nervous about the light green color i didn't want it to be mint color and thankfully is not. It's a nice dusty sage type color. Overall love this jacket and very glad I purchased it, perfect mid weight jacket for in between temps.

5'1", 150 lbs, size M fits perfectly. Outside pockets are deep as well as both pockets inside. The fleece lining is just enough for winter, spring and fall on the north eastern coast. The hood offers great coverage for someone with a lot of hair. It is water resistant and the outer material is soft, not rubbery. The seams are artfully designed. The 2 way zipper is ingenious, especially for driving. I am very satisfied with this selection. The price was way less than what any department store would charge. I do recommend making this purchase.

I needed a waterproof raincoat for a trip to Buenos Aires, Patagonia, Easter Island and Santiago. Unfortunately I need clothing for very hot and very cold weather. This jacket is perfect for cold weather because of the lining and the fit will accommodate a sweater and jacket underneath. But for hot rainy weather I needed just a waterproof shell.So back it went.It looked very nice and I liked the double zip front, deep pockets, adjustable rain hood, length and product color selection.I gave it 4 stars because I did not wear it and was not sure how it would perform in very wet weather.

Rarely, am I thrilled with an item of clothing. I am "thrilled" with this coat! Color is beautiful! The texture of the fabric gives it an expensive quality. (Watch the video to see to what I mean about the texture) The coat is warm in the cold, very good in the rain. In every way, it is as described; very rare!The zippered outer pockets are deep AND there are deep pockets inside! Click on the views to see the four pockets. I wasn't focusing on the inside pockets, yet, I'm glad they are there. This coat is well designed; well made! At first, the hood looked small for my head and hair. I was wrong; it fits quite well! I chose an XL to fit around my 47" hips. I have long arms and legs. The length of the sleeves is just right, and the coat length is mid thigh on my 5' 10" frame. The coat covers my buttocks. That's a big plus! I chose well; I'm so happy!

I took a chance on this mid-length raincoat because of the review video posted by Jessica Strickland on the product page. I'm so glad that I did, because this rainwear far exceeds my expectations! It's well made, feels substantial without being too heavy or too light. The mid-thigh length (I'm 5'7") is just right for times when I'll find myself sitting on a damp surface. The two-way zipper was an unexpected bonus that will make the raincoat/jacket more comfortable when I'm sitting. The zipper quality is solid and smooth. The olive green color is nice.One note on sizing: This olive green XL purchase is one size larger than usual, because I plan to wear it over bulky clothing while on a trip to northern Europe. I tried it over the bulky clothes today and it works well. I also bought a second one in my regular size (L) that I'll use at home over regular-weight clothing; its sizing is perfect.
