What happens if it comes off the string and goes down to the bottom of the tank?

I’ve had 2 and never had that problem. But I’m Sure you can easy reach in and get it if fuel is low or use something like a litter picker to retrieve it

I wouldn’t as it’s covered in dirty water and oil, by squeezing it out it might compromise the interior.

How do you know when to remove it, how do you know if it has collected any water. If the tank is to be topped up with fuel should you remove it tempor

You should not leave it in that long when you do remove it it will be puffed up and full of water

How long does it take to work as i have water in my oil tank

Pretty fast, obviously it depends on how much water is in there as you may need more than one to take it all out.I only got a problem when oil was delivered,it must have stirred it up.I think I put one in 2 days before a delivery and not had a problem since.I now put a new one in every 3 months.
