Very handy to have when playing.
I purchased these because I hate having to write down the spells and then look up every detail on it. Unlike my son, I am not as familiar with all the spells in the game to know them off the top of my head and I have never played a Druid before so am unfamiliar with them or their spells at all. This way I just pick my spells and have all the pertinent information right at hand. I keep them in trading card page sheets for easier reference. I currently have the Paladin and Druid sets, and will acquire any other sets needed for characters that I play as to me these are essential to make playing easier. The cards themselves are well laid out and easy to read. They have all the information needed on a spell such as what is needed to cast, time to cast, cost, duration, etc. Tells damage and anything else you need to know. The cards are a nice thickness and glossy. I am not sure about every set, as I only own two, but the two I have are different colors, so I assume they are all unique.I would recommend for anyone playing a Druid to pick these up to make keeping track of spells easier.

It is difficult getting them all back in the package but they're awesome.
The cards are very thick, and you have to initially give them a bit of a .. erm stretch to separate them because they are really stuck together on arrival. Once opened and separated you'll find them hard to get back into the box without them slightly getting caught up on the inner cardboard fold ins of the packaging, which does kind of mar them slightly, sort of ever so little pulling the top layer of paper away from the rest of the card the tiniest bit. This is not a huge thing but I think over time if you were putting them in the box to keep them safe it'd mar them up a lot going in and out of the box. I personally bought a little spellbook with sleeves to put mine in, and if it ever arrives I'll move them to that. They are nice though, and I love that they have the spell level on the back of the card. Mine came nice and error free, loads of cards. I know that others seem frustrated because this set doesn't have the content from other books, but this does include every spell from the initial PHB which is what I was wanting as my DM is only allowing PHB content right now. I personally see nothing wrong with there being a separate pack for Xanthar's spells, especially for new players who might not be aware of the difference. Overall, what I got was exactly what was represented, and what I expected from the items description and photos. The picture on the back of the box shows that there are 131 cards, and knowing that when people start playing D&D they usually begin with the core books, it makes sense that these cards would be separate from the additional Xanthar's spells. It also does expressly say in the item description that there are 8 decks sold separately, one of which is a set for Xanthar's. So to be honest, if you're not reading the item details and knowing exactly what you are paying for then the responsibility is on the buyer if you get something that isn't what you wanted/expected and the information was clearly laid out for you prior to making your payment.

Great for in session rule disputes!
Bought this so I could pick spells and have them in front of me. Well made and easy to read. Just hand the card to our DM when there's a question or rule dispute. Fantastic.

Great reference cards
These are great to have on hand so you don’t have to constantly look at the book or look up the spells you wanna use, speeds things up and makes it a lot easier

Not 2024 Druid spells, but it still is great
Great quality cards. standard size. not comparable with the 2024 spells

Almost perfect
I love these; I put them in baseball card binder sheets and they've upped my organization game a lot. However, I dislike that there's information left off and I wish they'd reserved some of all of the back of the card for the additional information. The reason is, the things they leave off are often the picky minutia related to the spell that are reserved for the end of the PHB description, and it's the stuff most likely to actually need to be looked up. Everyone remembers the basics, it's the super detailed stuff we miss. I want to have that in a convenient place. While the design on the back of the card looks cool, a small tab in the upper corner of the back with the color and spell level would do the same service while leaving the rest of the card free for details.Anyway, great cards and I'm getting the equivalent for anyone in my life who plays a primary caster.

Great for beginners!
I bought these for a player in my campaign that is playing for the first time. The cards make it so easy to track which spells and cantrips she is using and keep the speed of the game moving along. The quality of the cards is great amd they are clearly labeled to include all the information a player would need. This is one of those items that you can play without, but having them will make your experience much easier and more enjoyable!
