Good reel for the price
I have purchased several of these reels to replace older broken reels. I bought 4 from a different website previously. Amazon offers them for the same prices and includes free shipping. Other sites tool weeks to ship. The reels are great for general fishing use and are very smooth. The reels come in several sizes. The 3000 series is an excellent choice for fresh water fishing for fish up to about 5 pounds or so. The larger reels are good for light to medium salt water. If the reels do fail you just buy another one without a big price.

Very flimsy and poorly constructed.
This thing is poorly made. Has already broke within the first 10 minutes of use. I’ve thrown the package away already or I’d try to get my $20 back. It’s that bad. I knew it wasn’t going to be a high quality reel like some of mine are, but this is not even suitable as a child’s toy.

Quality reel. I recommend for 20# or lighter line……… maybe a good braid…..drag works smoothly.

Poor QC.
This is a beautiful reel and I recieved a couple of compliments. With co-poly line I easly had 20 meter+ cast at the lake. On the second day of use the nut which holds the spining rotor came loose. I stopped fishing and repaired the problem but had lost confidance in long term use. Returned for upgraded unit from same manufacture.

Excellent Buy
Bought 1 of these reels and was surprised by the way it worked and performed on my recent bass fishing trip that I purchased 4 more of the reels in different sizes. I purchased the first one because of the name. I made the mistake of thinking they were Diawa reels when in fact they are Diwa reels. Glad I did. They performed flawlessly so far. I live in Florida and fish every day I can. The heat, saltwater and rigors I put a reel through is unbelievable. So far they perform as well as my Penn reels. These seem to work better than the Penn's with the line I use. I will write more when I test them further as to just how well and how long they last! As we all know the guts of the reel are what really counts!
