The carrying pouch is nice. I will take it along any time I'll have to sit for a long time.
I used this once on a plane. It worked just as advertised. It seems sturdy. The passenger in front of me gave no indication he felt it being used. Contrary to another review, it worked fine on a Delta flight and the tray table closure held tight. Owing to the tight seat pitch, I could use it only as a foot rest to elevate my knees, but the device certainly made for a more comfortable flight. I wish I'd brought it with me the next week for an all-day seminar. It would have worked wonderfully while I was seated at a table in a poorly designed and uncomfortable stackable chair.

Really Helped on Long Flight
I used this footrest on a transatlantic flight and it was great. Made sleeping so much more comfortable. I recommend it - I tried it at home first to see how it worked by using 2 chairs and then on the plane attached it to tray as indicated in other reviews. It’s not cushioned but just the fact that you can have feet elevated a bit makes it a winner. Life saver if you can’t fly business!

Not really as pictured
Not nearly as cushioned as was pictured. Very sturdy though. Comfortable but I have it spread far on my desk or it curls easily. It doesn't hold form as shown but I kinda expected that.

Didn't think this would do much, but I'm pleasantly surprised
I'll start out by saying that I am a very frequent long-haul flyer. I've been doing it for many years and have built up a few coping mechanisms to ease the discomfort as much as possible and I've largely gotten used to it. I saw this and doubted this would achieve much, but boy was I wrong:1) It is compact enough to fit in any bag and not be a huge pain to carry.2) It is very sturdy and attaches really well to the tray.3) It makes a huge difference for sleeping and is extremely comfortable.4) For the price you can't go wrong. This is a game changer!

Didn’t serve its purpose
The strap got stuck between the back of the front seat and the tray table, which made it impossible to open the tray. While it did elevate my feet and provided some comfort, the seat cushion caused significant discomfort—I couldn’t sleep at all during the long flight. I ended up throwing it away during my layover in SFO.

Game Changer!!
I highly recommend this product. I travel to Hawaii from the East Coast a couple times a year and this portable hammock makes the long flights so much more comfortable. I am 5'2" so my feet don't typically touch the floor comfortably, and after a few hours my legs and back would become sore. By the end of a long flight, my feet have swollen like they did when I was pregnant. Ugh! I just returned from Hawaii and used this foot hammock on my first leg of the flight, which was 9 hours. For the first time, I was able to sleep almost the whole time because I was very comfortable and did not develop leg and back soreness. I will not travel without this hammock anymore. It comes with a handy zipper pouch for storage - very handy.

Worked well for long flights
Just finished using this on multiple international flights, in economy seats, and it worked really well. I have sciatic issues and am 5’5”, and being able to raise my legs to get pressure off my thigh meant 8-10 hour flights without issues. Worked even with the smaller economy legroom; I did not have a bag under my seat. On one plane there was only about an inch of space with the tray table down (international flight) so might not work for longer legs. Gave four stars because after my third use it started bunch up under my feet. I might add a couple small pockets so I can put something stiff at either end to prevent that, but for the price worth the purchase.
