Well worth it
Excellent power strip. This is my 3rd one. Even though the light won’t work on the switch it still operates as designed. And worth every penny. Just not worth the hassle to send it back over the switch not lighting up. Lol

Great power strip, love it!
Don't worry about a couple of reviews mentioning weakness of the female plugs, they are pretty strong. The product was sturdy enough. Very good for my server power strip. I drilled 4 pilot holes (two at each end) and used screws to secure the strip vertically to my rack's post. It was easy and looked very nice as my rack's column is 1.5 inches thick which is the same as the width of this power strip. Packaging was great too. Both the ends were covered with plastic protection. The product box was put in a larger box. So it was protected by two boxes. Tow thumbs up. I see other products on Amazon that are more expensive, but this one is good enough with low price. I like it.

Stanley power strip is ideally for workbench. Lack of mounting tabs and screws.
I’m an electrical engineer for many years and all of this test results were based on my own opinion. Package is lack of mounting tabs and screws. You would need to use your own screws or if you want to mount it, you need to find yourself a mounting tabs in the store. The Stanley 31610 SurgeMax Pro power strip provides nine overload-protected outlets right on your workbench. I use this extra-long power strip behind a set of shelves that hold power tools and a variety of drill batteries. It provides adequate room between outlets. I love everything about this power strip. It is indeed rated 400 joules. It has made it much easier and way more convenient than having a bunch of extension cords all over the floor. They are metal housing case, well made, and easy to mount in a couple various ways and they have a lighted master on/off switch. The spacing of the receptacles is perfect for battery charging tools. It handles transformer plugs without crowding the adjacent receptacles. The Stanley power strip is all about saving power and is designed exclusively for use with office components such as desktop computers, displays, printers, and desk lamps, that tend to draw power when not in use. It shouldn't be used with things like power tools, space heaters, coffee makers, or any other household appliances. It provides 125V power to standard electronic equipment via 9 outlets, the outlets are spaced 2 and 10/16 inches center-to-center along the 37-inch housing, allowing enough room for most AC adapters and transformers. There really is no reason not to get a surge protector. Whether you're just looking to add more outlets, or want to add a layer of protection between your gear and the outside world, you'll eventually want to buy a surge protector. You're always going to need more outlets. You'll undoubtedly add more gear without necessarily getting rid of your current gear. I'm not saying that if you think you need 9 outlets get a 12 outlets is probably a good investment. I also have a 12 outlet power strip for my garage. I would recommend the AXTRA 12-outlets power strip for office and school environment.

Great for accessible charging
I installed this onto the underside of my desk for easier charging accessibility. Installation was simple with the provided screws and holes at each end of the power strip. Construction is extremely durable and I have no issue with charging speeds.

A great all around workshop power strip
One of the things I love about this is the space between each plug leaves enough room for any type of wall wart or power brick style plug. I own three of these mounted to different work spaces such as a work bench, a rolling work bench, and on the wall in front of a Production desk. They’re fantastic, work with all of my needs, and each to mount via tabs on the side. My only gripe is the plugs themselves can be a bit tight and move when pulling too hard as they’re plastic, but other than that, it’s great for the money you’re spending.

Surprising!
This is exactly what I wanted. It was exactly what I ordered. It still surprised me! I've recently started working from home and did some general upgrading to my workspace. I wanted to get rid of the old, disorganized power strip and hang a workshop power strip an inch or so under my desktop to eliminate messy looking cords. When it arrived I laughed wondering how this was what I wanted. I hung it feeling sceptical. It's perfect! It's exactly what I wanted. I don't know why everyone doesn't do this.

Still working great after over 3 years of daily use.
I bought this Stanley 9 outlet power strip in April of 2020 to mount to my garage bench. It is now July of 2023 and it is still working great and has never given me an issue. It probably has something plugged into 7 of the nine outlets on it right now as I type this. I have it mounted on the back side and forward facing on the under side of my wooden work bench. It is perfect for cable management allowing me to keep all of my power tool chargers plugged in on the shelf below and keep the cords at the back side of the bench that faces the wall. I also have a small air compressor that sits on the ground below the shelf that is always plugged in and ready to go. The only reason I'm writing this review right now is because I'm now looking to add an additional power strip for an additional bench and noticed all the negative reviews for this product. I'm not going to dismiss any of the negative reviews that were written. I'm sure most, if not all were legit complaints. It's been a few years since I purchased mine, but I'm gonna guess that I probably read through those negative reviews and figured I'd take a chance since I only paid $24 for it at the time and knew that I could easily return it to amazon if there was an issue right away. I see the price is now almost $45. That's a huge price increase in 3 years, but it's probably still worth it even at the new inflated price. I hope my review was helpful.

LOVE!
Review: Although I believe this is a little expensive for what it is, I LOVE it! This is my second purchase of a Stanley industrial power bar and I'd consider buying a 3rd. I have a lot of external hard drives and each one has a large charging block, so plugging them into a traditional power bar is problematic since sometimes there isn't enough room. This power bar completely resolves that issue since all the plugs are spaced so perfectly. It's also extremely sturdy since it's made of metal, so this will never break. Pros: - Build quality - Long cord - Perfectly spaced plugs Cons: - Price Score: 5/5 Conclusion: I would recommend this product.

Reliable, low-profile power for my desk setup
I installed this Stanley surge protector under my standing desk to clean up the cable mess and it has been excellent so far. The slim metal housing makes it easy to mount flush against the underside of the desk, and despite having nine outlets it never feels bulky or in the way. After about three months of daily use, it has been completely reliable and gives me plenty of room for all my chargers and peripherals. The build quality feels solid and the finish looks good even though it lives out of sight. I also appreciate that it provides proper surge protection rather than being just a basic power strip, which gives me peace of mind for my office gear. The only thing I’d tweak is the power switch placement, since in my setup it’s possible to bump it with a knee, but that’s really a quirk of how I’ve mounted it rather than a flaw in the product design. Overall, it’s a great choice if you want lots of outlets in a long, desk-friendly format.
