Dunham Men's Henderson Gore Tex Oxford

Over the past two years, I started using supportive insoles to help with my over-pronation (flat feet). I tried two other Dunham shoes, the 8500 Oxford and the 8000 Windsor. The Henderson is, by far, my favorite shoe. Having a more flexible leather upper, this model is lighter and more comfortable, since it has a tighter, more glove-like, fit. The slightly deeper design accommodates the thicker insole, but allows less movement at the heel counter - important since the inside of the heal is prone to wear with orthotics. I work in an aggressive production environment with wet floors and the slip resistant design works better than most. The jury is still out on long-term wear. But at this point, a great shoe.Update Nov. 2013: The original pair lasted 14 months in aggressive, Monday-Friday, wear. No delamination of the sole, just normal wear at the heal and compression of the layers. No unusual wear of the uppers - some internal wear at the heal counter - went through a set of laces. Essentially, the leather uppers stretched and the sole compressed to the point where there was insufficient support for my custom insoles. Bought a second pair in July - love 'em! Please, New Balance, don't change the design.

When I first got these shoes I loved them. They were pristine and felt very comfortable.I have had these shows now since around thanksgiving of 2013 and they are slowly falling apart in the back. I rotate between two to three different pairs of shoes and sneakers to keep the best life out of them.They also scuff and the leather now has a crushed / wrinkle type of appearance. It doesn't bother me per-say, I believe that it just shows that shoes have been well worn and enjoyed and I think it gives them character, while my girl friend doesn't like the appearance of them that much, but the inside of the shoes are still comfortable!!!If you have the money I would recommend these shoes. They look good and feel great on my feet 13 4E.Any questions I will be glad to try to answer.

I work in I.T. and my shoes take a royal beating day-to-day. My last pair of shoes were Dunham Windsor 8000's and against all odds, they lasted through 5 years of daily wear. Granted, the last year was a bit of a stretch, but they held in there!I've had these Henderson's for about 3 months now, and they're pretty comfortable, but they feel neither quite as comfortable, nor as durable, as I thought the Windsor 8000's were. The leather finish is starting to scuff pretty badly, something that took about 18 months on the Windsor's to accomplish.I will probably keep these Henderson's around as a backup pair or a nice dress-y pair of shoes, and will polish them heavily in order to cover up the scratches, but I think I may wind up buying another pair of Windsor's for my day-to-day work wear as they've proven to be one of the toughest & most durable shoes I've ever found.

would be 5 stars except I was hoping it would feel like my New Balance 546's. Close but not perfect. Heal height a little higher and a bit hard on the ride. This is probably to be expected since this is a leather shoe but I have been in search of a shoe that fits like my NB546"s for orthopedic reasons.The 11.5 D is consistent with my other NB fits.... Good shoe!

This is my second pair of waterproof Dunhams. They wear well, remain waterproof through hefty rainstorms, and are well constructed. The soles on this model seem to have half-decent skid resistance, and have a good torsion bar. With my job I put them through a lot of abuse and they take it. As with most Dunhams, these are a notch above "casual" while not quite suitable to go with a good suit.

When I first received them they looked small, but actually they fit perfectly. Not too many places to find 4E wide shoes. I also wear full orthotics and they fit perfectly. Extra for me which I missed was they are gortex lined. After this last slushy storm In NY, no wet feet.I will be looking at some other NB shoes in the future.Amazon price was great and fast prime shipping.

I have worn these shoes several time since I received them last week. These shoes feel great and are light on my feet. They feel like they were make just for my feet and that I have been wearing them for a long time. The first time that I had them on was for nine (9) hours and my feet felt great at the end of that time. I would recommend these Dunham Henderson Gore Tex to everyone that I come in contact with. I had a man to ask me about them today and I said this is the first pair of these that I hace had and they felt great.Sam

I ordered the 2E due to some foot problems, i.e. plantar fasciitis and hallux valgus. This shoe immediately felt better on my feet. I just started using them, so I'll try to remember to report back in a few months.Update -- my feet still ache while using these shoes. I'm now trying some boots to alleviate the pain.
