Stunned by Quality and Value for the $
I doubt you'll find anywhere near the quality and bang for the buck. This is my first MRE and they'll prob become a regular buy for me. For under $50 you are getting rich, tasty nutrition with enough to satisfy a hungry man. Absolutely amazing.

Worth the money.
I like it. Taste good my only noticeable not perfect thing is i bought it bc it said chicken and beef and i wanted to avoid the veggie ones, and half of them were vegan and vegetarian so i got 4 beef, 2 chicken, the rest were just noodles and sauce or veggies with sauce or veggie noodle and sauce. Not that big of a deal, but i do wish it said chicken beef and no meat 😂 but very nice buying just the meal and not all the rest. I saved loads with this, most were like $10 per mre and i just dont have that money. But this way even if i had only ate the meat ones, id still would be saving money . If your getting food for a trip this is a good one.

Great supply of emergency food without all the forks
Great supply of emergency food without all the forks, plastic wrappers, grainy crumbly doomsday chocolate, or stale crackers. MREs are a great idea but all the extra junk they pack in them is useless to the average hiker/backpacker and it contains mostly things and packaging you need to throw away. If you are an environmentally conscious hiker , you don't want to litter, you dont want to carry things you are not going to use, and you don't want to carry all that extra garbage around with you when you are done having a meal. This is a great option. it gives you the meal without the instant coffee, napkins and toilet paper, forks, hot sauce, heater bag, crackers, drink mixes, and all the other junk most of us throw away. Pay for the stuff you want without paying for all the stuff you dont want or need. MREs are expensive but when you cut out all the nonsense nobody wants you get this, a nutritious lunch without a bag full of unwanted waste for less than half the price of an MRE. I fit this entire case in One 9mm ammo can so it saves space too not just money.

WORST TASTING MRE ENTREES EVER!
Tried to eat two entrees from the pack tasted horrible nothing I've ever seen or tasted while serving in the US Army and Marines. My dog smelled it and walked away. I threw the rest in the trash very disappointed. I will not be ordering again. Total waste of money. Taste was just plain nasty. Sorry excuse for an MRE entre. Had stickers on the side of each entre pack covering were the normal contents names and govt codes are routinely marked. No way to verify actual dates or govt manufacture contractor. I've been eating MRE's for over thirty years this was not it! Disgusting! It's no wonder they aren't returnable.

Be aware entrees have vegetarian options
Overall, mostly as promised. Disappointed 1/3 of the main entree pouches were vegetarian over beef and chicken as anticipated. As other reviewers noted, no heating elements and a re-read of the description has a disclaimer of beef and chicken selections culled from a listing of menu options

but I'm glad I did
I just bought these as an Amazon Warehouse Special, not quite sure what that means, but I'm glad I did. 10 were made last year, 2 the year before (and the newest are 7 months old). Since these are designed to last for 3-5 years and beyond the self life is great. Now, make sure you know what you're getting. These are entrees only! I don't need crackers and jelly with every meal, I don't really need a heater every time. I can supply my own napkins, salt, tabasco and instant coffee. And if you've never eaten one of these before, they're basic survival food, not good eatin'. I still like a well made meal, but I'm practical enough to eat these to fill my belly. They're great to keep in your car for breakdowns, road trips, spur of the moment hikes. I live in a stormy area, my power goes out nearly every winter. Sometimes for days. These make a nice change from sardines and canned spinach. Anyway, I got these at a fraction of what MREs would cost. I'm happy. This is a good buy.

save your money
No directions on how to heat them. Did not get a very good choice. The packaging is small and appears to mostly be sauce. I felt cheated. Other long term storage food is a better option.

Smashed em’ all. Need more
These MREs are packed full of protein. I didn’t have a bowel movement for 3 days, so you know they are good. My wife cooked dinner and I decided to eat these instead. Tore open a package with my teeth like I was back in Iraq, clawed out the food with my fingers while shoveling it down my gullet. All four of my children stare at me with their jaws dropped, as I move onto my next pouch. Once more tearing it open with my teeth, and squeezing it into my mouth like a tube of toothpaste That is close to empty. Delicious.
