CEC passthrough really does work
I bought to connect my Chromecast Streaming Device so I can view same programs on two TVs. One TV has a cable run of about 30 ft to deal with. Pictures on both TVs are very sharp and clear. I also want CEC pass through so my Chromecast remote switch button would continue to allow one button switching from outside antenna to HDMI imput on main TV. This splitter does allow this feature to continue work, must use output port 1. I tried a different brand that stated CEC compatible but it broke the Chromecast remote's input button function. Orei got it right. Their device is also in a metal case unlike another I tried (more expensive too) which was just plastic. For me, this does what I need. I think is a good buy.

World Cup Summer projector !!!
Works great so far. I Got this duplicate splitter to stream the World Cup on a projector outside while the family can still watch the game inside on the living room tv. Was a little nervous when it didnt stream to my projector while my tv was playing. but then I remembered about the switch on the back. For some reason if the projector needs to adjust it loses the display but flipping the switch either way always seems to correct it. Also this is a wired HDMI connection. I have yet to try a hdmi transmitter but so far the image is clean no distortion. Highly recommend. Especially for parties. For the people complaining about “ why would someone need the same screen twice”, it is often used in bars and fast food menu displays to show the same sports show or menu options on several tv displays without having to buy more boxes or logins. Just read the description carefully, it is not that hard.

1080p is great
Works great in splitting 1080p at 30 fps. I suggest using OBS Software to capture. For less than $20 USD it is great. I do notice dropped frames at 60 fps, although that may be my computer(i5 8th Gen 1080 Graphic card). After the heavy compression for YouTube the missing frames at 60 fps are intolerable. The software offered by download from REI is simple to use how ever that is the only PRO, the Latency is nearly 2 seconds and is heavy on CPU. Going back to OBS I saw barely half a second latency in capture and stream. That is the difference between the Playing monitor and recording monitor. The monitor that I play on has so little (if any) latency I can not tell any lag from button press to action on screen. I have only been using this a couple of weeks so how long it will last is unknown. The only wish (that some may see as a CON) is that the unit has NO off switch. so you need to un plug to turn off. Over all for 1080p @30 fps this great for under $20 usd.

Works fine for sending displays from my computer to my monitors and to my TV.
I have three 24" 1920 x 1080 monitors with HDMI inputs and a 43" 1920 x 1080 TV with three HDMI inputs. I bought three 1 in and 2 out splitters so my computer could have each TV HDMI input mirror each of my monitors. The manufacturer had suggested connecting each TV HDMI input to its corresponding splitter's Output 1 and each corresponding monitor to Output 2. This worked very well. The manufacturer also recommended setting the EDID switch to TV but resulted in strange, monochromatic color on the displays. Resetting to STD corrected the displays. My only complaint are the ridiculously, intensely bright blue indicator lights in the splitters. Since the indicators lights have to face away from the room to allow room to install the cables, the bright indicator lights wouldn't be a problem (they also could be taped over) but the light also shines brightly through the air vents in both ends of the three splitters which can't be blocked off without risking burning up the splitters. It's going to take come creativity to come up with a way to block the light without blocking the air flow. Either indicator lights that shone only through their holes in the front panel should have been used or a way to turn the lights off should have been provided. That cost a star in the rating.

Worked for a few weeks and then caused havoc
I originally rated this 4 stars as follows: I purchased this so that I could view both a external display from my laptop and at the same time have the display go to a video projector. That part worked fine. However, I also discovered that the splitter will hijack the audio and if you do not have a speaker as part of the external monitor, you lose the sound until you go into the computer setup and change the sound driver to the computer internal sound. What this means is that I cannot have the audio from the computer at the same time as the audio to the video projector. Not a big hassle but took me a while to figure out what was going on. In any event, it does the job and I'm happy with it. UPDATE: Well, not any more. After a couple weeks I started getting blackouts on my screen. I unplugged the unit, let it sit for a few minutes, then plugged it in again and it worked ok. Then this evening my video went haywire, both the laptop screen and the connected monitor. Freaked me out although I do have everything backed up. I disconnected the unit, rebooted the computer, and everything is working again. There was some sort of feedback from the unit that was interfering with the computer video. I was lucky it didn't wipe out the video card. It's now going in the trash ... a total waste. 2nd UPDATE: So apparently it also crapped the HDMI connection in my laptop. Fortunately the laptop screen still works. Now I have to buy a USB to HDMI converter to use with an external monitor.

Does’t work on the PS3
Bought this to use it on the PS3 ( didn’t do much research because it shouldn’t be that complicated) but it DOES not work on it. It goes well with the PS5 and stuff. But had to send it back because for me it was the worng product

Device seems to add HDCP to the output signal. not sure.
I had purchased this item in order to get a reliable working connection from my thunderbolt enabled Blackmagic Mini Monitor (which is a video streaming device for video professionals) to an LG OLED tv. It does that job pretty well. If I try to connect the device directly without this splitter the TV doesn't seem to take in the HDMI Signal. My current assumption is that, either the splitter adds HDCP to the output signal or it just gives out proper 60Hz frequency which probably my streaming device is not outputting (all though the device used to work directly without the requirement of a splitter when it was connected to a small 24inch ips lg monitor. Additionaly, so far, I haven't been able to actually get two HDMI outputs from a single input which is what this device is natively supposed to do. But I would chalk that up to some complication arising from the fact that the origin of the HDMI signal is the Blackmagic Mini Monitor complicating the HDMI protocols.
