My opinion
Good vest, super pricey , although I only had it for a couple months and the stitching on hypervest patch on the left chest is starting to come undone already and I’m only using 11lbs so I could only imagine if I fill it with the full 20lbs. Also the little sliding side clips to hold the tension at the bottom of the vest do not stay in place and slide repeatedly when doing agility drills, so that you have to keep tightening them every few minutes. I do like that the vest stays close to the body when initially tightened, it would be a whole lot better with some stronger metal clips to hold the chords on the sides in place so that they would hold the vest tighter without have to tighten the tension every few minutes. I’m 5’7 and weigh 165 lbs, so I don’t have a big gut. Very pricey, would have felt more confident with the purchase price if the details were addressed in regards to stronger stitching [possibly triple stitching everywhere] all around the vest and stronger side clips to hold the tension of the vest in place better with the 11lbs I have in it so far, I can only assume the life of the vest will be cut extremely short if I add the full 20lbs, so I have yet to do so, I only put one weight bar In each pocket thus far. Also the zipper starts to slide down ever so slightly when doing plyometrics. What can I say I pay attention to details, they matter when your paying this much. I received the vest on June 15th 2018 and have used it to exercise on average 4 to 5 days a week for speed agility drills, plyometrics, pushups , pullups and it is now October 28th 2018, so about 3 and half months and the chords on the sides have worn down from having to tighten them every few minutes when exercising from agility drills to keep the vest close and tight to the body. I am now trying to figure how I can replace the chords on the sides being that on the website it states if the item was purchased through amazon you have to return it through them , and it is difficult to get in touch with someone at hyperwear.com at the number provided 1 (888) 460-0628 I have called several times and nobody seems to answer, you just get a voicemail. I'm going to look for some thin leather shoelaces to replace the chords on the side that have now worn out and are soon to snap. This is still a great vest and would last a whole lot longer if these minor details were addressed, then this vest would last for excessive use in the manner which I tend to use it myself, like I stated , for the price , I feel all these minor details should have been addressed during the prototype phase of the vest if it was intended to last for daily exercises.

Very Poor Quality, ZERO Attention to Detail.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I thought I'd done my research. For a $300 weight vest - nearly twice the price of other "high end" vests on Amazon - you'd think you'd be getting an incredible product. You're not. Not at all. Not even close. The clip won't hold the cinch cord in place (seen in video), meaning the vest will never give you a snug fit. You will have to jimmy-rig it just to make it tight, which is inexcusable. The pockets for the weights are poorly constructed and it takes entirely too long to insert and remove the weights. The underarm area will rub a rash on you. The zipper will not stay up all the way when you really start moving around. These are all issues that EASILY could've been fixed, and certainly should have been at this price point. Maybe I could overlook one of these issues, if the rest of the vest was well made and worth the price tag, but as it stands now, you're better off getting a $50 weight vest.

Massive upgrade over cheaper equivalents
It still looks like I'm about to raid something when I'm wearing this, but it's nice and thin and flexible, so I don't feel like a walking trash can. More importantly, even with the max weight, this thing doesn't kill my shoulders. I'm more comfortable wearing this and a 20-lb backpack than I am wearing the cheaper weight vests, loaded to the same weight. Why? Because this thing grips onto you instead of just hanging from your shoulders. I was a little worried the first time I wore it because I thought it might be hurting my skin by hanging off of it, but after another couple months of use, that doesn't appear to be the case. I wear this every day on my commute and have noticed no adverse effects. As for style, the worst I've gotten is "nice corset." It does sort of resemble one, if I'm being honest.I'm seeing early signs of the material wearing out where I've stacked two weights. If you want the full 25lb, you have to put two weights in each pocket. This creates a somewhat sharp bulging ridge where one weight overlaps another. It's unclear whether the material will wear out and drop the weights. It would be nice if they had used a heavier alloy to make these weights, so customers wouldn't need to cram two in each pocket. One final note: the 25lb variant is just the 15lb variant with two 5-lb boxes of weights included. You must insert the weights yourself.

side clamps do not hold
the clamps to tighten the vest do not hold -I have to tighten them every few minutes during my workout. wondering if my vest is defective or if this is just the way the clamps are for everyone.

Super comfy and well made.
So far I love this vest. Very comfortable, well made, nice and adjustable which is super important. I see myself walking in it a lot to promote my bones to become more dense as I suffer from Osteopenia and would rather not be this way. I am short bodied 5’0” and the small fits me just right.

EXCEPTIONAL
Exceptional quality and feel. I use it for HHIT/Tabata sessions and WOD’s. The fit is snug enough that it can even be used in WOD’s calling for barbell work. I have used it with no undershirt for workouts lasting 20 minutes with minimal discomfort/chafing, though it is more comfortable with a form fitting shirt underneath. Weights fit securely in place and do not move around during workouts. Would absolutely buy again.

Push yourself to the limit.
Excellent for outdoor boot camp activities. You will get worn out much faster than normal, but your gains will come quick.I have a 40 lb vest and it's good for walking, but not other activities like push-ups, sit-ups, and plyo moves. That's where this vest comes in. The fit can be snug because you can form it to your body. You can sprint wearing it and not worry about it flopping around on you.

Pricey, but worth it if you're dedicated
Review after 3 months:I have been running 5 times a week for about two years and I felt I had plateaued, I was not seeing much progress lately. So I decided to add weight and this vest was recommended on several "best weighted vests" lists. It comes pre-filled with 10 lbs and 10 extra pounds in boxes. I decide to not add more weight at first as it was already making a big difference. It was really hard at first, but you get used to it. Then I added 5 pounds a month later, which was mistake, the big weight difference was like starting all over again. so Instead, I slowly added weight over time until I reached the 20 lbs.The result? I have made huge progress in just three months. I run with the vest during the week and without during the week end. My pace has greatly increased, it used to be around 5:30 min/Km. Now when I don't wear the vest, it's around 5:10 without even trying, and under 5:00 when pushing a bit harder. My legs feel much stronger overall and I can tell they got bigger. Like I said, I had been running regularly for the past 2 years, and I have seen more changes and progress in the last 3 months running with the vest than in the last year. Now in order to get these results, I had to run 10km almost every day for two months, it won't do miracle if you only go run once a week (but still, it should help)Now about the vest itself, I have been using it almost daily and so far so good, no sign of wear. The way it's designed is great: beside the extra weight, which is the point, it does not bother you when running, with the weight spread evenly. You can even move the weight around : I like to have a bit more at the top than the bottom. But you won't feel unbalanced like you had one massive 20 lbs weight strapped to your chest. Some people complained about the fastening system on the side. It's true, it was not holding in place for me either, but I just tied a knot right after the fastener and it has not bothered me since.Overall I'm very happy with it but I only give 4 stars because 400 CAD is still very expensive.
