I’ve owned two other wine aerators, this is my third. The other two were battery operated, and would open over over 30 bottles of wine before the disposable batteries had to be replaced. This rechargeable battery model doesn’t seem to be able to open even 10 bottles without a recharge. With an aerator that uses disposable batteries it only takes a few minutes to get it up and running again when the batteries are dead, this one takes a few hours to recharge.Instead of pressing and holding a button to get the wine flowing, this one takes one press to start and one press to stop. It’s a lot easier to overfill or spill.The old one seemed to vacuum the last drops back up at the end of the pour, and this one did at first. A few recharges later, it now drips 3 times after every pour.My other wine aerators were a bit odd looking, and while this one is more sleek, it kind of looks like an alien sex toy. Neither is what you’re really looking for in terms of aesthetics in a wine appliance, but the blue and red lights on this one are just plain goofy. The lights also can’t be controlled and seem to contribute to battery drain after the pour.I started by giving this aerator a two star review, but I think I’ll change it to one after thinking about it. I do love wine aerators (because I’m American and too stupid to plan ahead and decant properly), but this one is the wrong choice. Look for one with a skinny metal tube that delivers the wine (like may last ones), avoid this one.

Purchased 3 of these for 32.95. 2 are still working, but the last red one I bought 9-13-20 was half working a month ago and now has quit. There is no guarantee so I have 2 that ended up costing me 49.43 each since after 1 quit. I like the product, but like all the quality of everything made in china is hit or miss when it comes to quality. After what China did during the Covid virus, I am going to consider buying less and less made in China or Hong Kong

I didn’t believe it would increase my love for wine but it makes it so much better. I own two and have turned my friends on to it!

We had a lot of fun using this in large bottles of wine at our summer family gathering.

I had to make a gasket to secure it in the bottle. It was a little loose without.All other is great!
