It's a lot of amplifier for the money.
So far so good! I purchased this actually to test it as a full car single amp system. I have Rockford Fosgate tx1000.5d but this amp was $200. So I wanted to see if it held up. Saw decent reviews on it and decided to buy it. I am currently running 4 mids and 4 tweeters ( Hertz ecx 6.5 separates) one set in each door, and a set of Hertz 6.5 coaxial in the lower front door as well. So 6 speakers total (2 pair in the rear doors and 4 in the front doors) I have a single 10 inch sub in a sealed box in the back. This is in a Kia Sportage, I have a Pioneer AVH 601 head unit. This amp works and sounds great. I have no complaints. It will bang plenty loud and powerful with no distortion. I don't plan on replacing it unless it breaks. I live in the hot desert and it gets a good hour of high volume playing a day (my commute) and I have no heat issue or anything. Pretty great amp, ESPECIALLY for the price. I am thoroughly impressed.

kind of a let down and nvx support sucks
5chs with OK power and the sub channel is 1ohm stable. the bridged "3ch" mode on mine didn't work so i was never able to drive my front components the way they were intended. This thing loses it in the crossover which is not 100% separated from the sub-woofer meaning as you adjust the frequency responses of the woofer it affects the mid-range as well and having the inter-dependency makes tuning kinda clunky and in my case limited me to a sound stage i was not happy with. NVX tech support is non-existent, i called and left 4 voicemail's with their tech support department non of which were returned so i decided to return the product and purchased a sundown 1100.5 in its place.

Trash.....unless you like trash spend an extra 100 or so...
This product is absolute garbage. There is no way to hook this amp up no matter the config. in order for you to use the 5th channel as a sub amp and not here bass clipping from the front and rear mids/highs which equals distortion. Returned this for 2 ole faithful fosgates and problem fixed and sounds so much clearer from an sq and an spl position. Do not waste your money unless you just want loud, unclear treble and muddy, distorted bass and you want to replace your mids/highs from the bass clipping and ultimately blowing them.

Subwoofer channel lacked power for real bass
Amplifier seemed like a good choice due to the reviews left by others. Once hooked up, it definitely did not live up to it's claims. Sound from the 4 main channels was acceptable but the subwoofer channel was embarrassing as I got more bass from my factory set up. If your looking for an amp that does not supply bass this is it! In fairness the amplifier seemed to be of solid construction and fairly compact.

Solid build quality, small size, packed with features and powerful.
Purchased the JAD-900.5 after a month of research. This amp uses similar architecture to 5 channel models from PPI and Polk. I chose this model based on reviews from DIYMA . com, and it is the first class D amp I have owned. I was big into car audio in the 90's and early 2000's but dropped off for a while. My installation was carefully planned and executed with high quality wiring. I have it hooked up to a pair of Image Dynamics 6.5" components with the gain set very conservatively (less than half). I think the power is very adequate considering the size. I like the band pass crossover, which eliminated my need for passive crossovers. This provides more flexibility for my application. I also like the appearance of the amp and makes for a very clean install. I am getting a slight hum when no music is played. Although my RCA's are seperate from my power runs, it COULD BE MY INSTALL, but be aware others have reported a similar issue. I have some tweaking to do yet, but at this point I would give it a solid 4 stars only because of the noise issues.

Buy this amp!
I hooked this up to 2 Kicker 6.5 inch speakers in my front doors, 2 JBL GTO 938 6x9s in the rear deck and have a 12 inch Pioneer 12 inch TS-We 10th in a sealed 1.25 cf enclosure. The mids and highs sound loud, crisp and clear. The sub hits accurately and like a sledgehammer. I listen to mostly rock/metal so the kick drums are on point and it adds great sound to bass guitars. I crank this amp at over 100db for an hour or so at a time, it never strains or distorts and it's barely warm to the touch afterwards. I ran a mono block amp around 12 years ago at a substantially lower wattage and had considerable problems with over heating. Not with this amp, you can't go wrong with it, especially at the price, NVX has another loyal customer thanks to this product. I also run their wiring kit as well, it's great quality and power handling as it's 100% real deal copper.

Quit working after 4 years
Compact, light, good sound. Having said that, I wish it would last longer. Only 4 out of 5 channels quit after 4 years

This amp replaced a defective Planet Audio 5 channel (also purchased from Amazon). First, I understand this amp is roughly $100 more then the PA amp, but that $100 is worth every penny. Better power output with a much lower current draw (40A vs 105A), vastly superior crossovers and a much needed subsonic filter. I an driving a pair of JBL GT 6.5 comps, a pair of JBL 6X9S, and a single Alpine Type-S 10" wired for 2ohm. Extremely satisfied with this setup.
