Sauder Miscellaneous Storage 3-Shelf Bookcase/ Book shelf, Jamocha Wood finish

We will be using this bookcase in my office for display and books. This is the 5th Sauder 3 shelf wooden bookcase. We now have 5 Sauder 3 shelf wooden bookcases and 3 Sauder 5 shelf wooden bookcases through our home but mostly in my office. They are sturdy, easy to assemble and look great. We get compliments all the time on how stunning these bookcases look and they are affordable! Sauder makes a very good product.

It’s a great little bookcase! It’s sturdy, easy to assemble, and it’s heavy. The color is exactly as the picture shows online and it’s just the right size. It’s packaged securely with materials that protect the wood, so even if the box is damaged during delivery the contents are safe. 10/10 would buy this again.

I love these shelves. Its easy to assemble and everything fit together perfectly, very sturdy, has extra deep shelves and beautiful. I was impressed with how well it was packaged, and the assembly instructions are great.

Solid Bookcase. Looks great. Fairly easy to put together. I recently moved and this is the easiest piece of new furniture I’ve put together thus far. It did require hammering some small nails for the back piece, but they go in easy. Yes, the “wood” itself is cheap. However, it’s just what I was looking for. It’s a case to hold books, not an heirloom to pass down for generations. One of the pieces arrived fractured, but it was still useable. This made no difference in appearance or function when it was all put together. I really like how it looks in my room. As a renter, I prefer the cheap thing that works and looks good when it comes to furniture. More money for the bank account.

My husband built it in 30 minutes. Easy instructions and everything was clearly marked. Stickers that mark the shelves come off easily and nothing was damaged. I needed more bookshelves but don't have space. I wanted something affordable and that coordinated with my antique dresser. The photos on this listing were very accurate. It's exactly what I envisioned. It fits perfectly on top of my dresser! It's seems very sturdy and should hold all my books.

I purchased one of these wonderful, well-made and classy bookshelves years and years (and years) ago. Recently, I found that I needed a second one for my writing room. It was with great delight to find that they were still being made! My sister and I had so much fun putting it together too! It was simple and a great bonus was that whoever wrote the instruction booklet had an incredibly funny sense of humor. And I mean literally, not accidentally! Totally cracked me up. Whoever that was should get a raise or at least a bonus! Oh, and I HIGHLY recommend these book shelves.

Looks good. There were no damaged or missing pieces. All pieces were clearly marked and the instructions were very good. The parts fit the pre-drilled holes -- I had no problems assembling this piece. The bookcase is stable on my floor. I am happy with this purchase. I have bought products from this manufacturer before and I haven't been sorry. Regarding purchases of particle board furniture: I felt this was a good purchase for my home office. I read a lot of reviews before deciding on what to buy and I think some people don't understand this material. Particle board is both heavier and WEAKER than solid wood. That is why it is so much less expensive than a solid wood bookshelf which could easily cost 3 times as much. This means the shelves will sag if you put too much weight on them, or if the weight is not EVENLY distributed across the width of the board. The manual for this bookcase indicates the following max weights top of bookcase 35 lbs adjustable shelves 25 lbs each bottom shelf 40 lbs You cannot load the shelf up with heavy stuff (including books) if you don't want the shelves to sag. Placing heavy books in the center of a 25-pound shelf will absolutely cause it to sag over time even if the books weigh less than 25 pounds because the weight is all in one place. If this is a problem, you should look for solid wood or something with metal supports under the shelves. There are youtube videos showing how some people have added solid wood framing around the particle board bookcases to strengthen them. (Not just sauder, but ikea and other manufacturer shelving -- they all have the same issues.) Personally at that point I would just pay the extra money for more expensive solid wood shelves but that's just me. Particle board does crack easily and can be damaged in shipping if the package gets dropped. The Sauder website has a link to reorder individual parts if something is missing/broken. I've been lucky and have not had to use the service. It's just a chance you take when you purchase this type of product.

I received it as described and it was delivered on time. No scratch, no damage. It was easy to assemble. With that, I 'd say I am satisfied and very happy with my purchase because it came exactly what I wanted.

Love my shelf! Have received many compliments. When I received it there was one piece damaged....contacted Sauder as instructed in assembly manual. Within minutes I was informed the damaged part is being shipped to me free of charge. Excellent customer service.

The bookcase looks much better than many others at this price. It goes together easily and the fit and finish is very good. Well worth the money.
