Solid and robust
Very good. A well made, solid and more traditional robust design. This 2L version is great for one or two people. Lid closing and opening is a little fiddly but once you get used to it, it's easy.

Relieved.
After some of the bad reviews I read I was doubtful...but I have missed my pressure cooker as I always had one but wanted a small one and the 2 litre, although it IS small and cute too, seems to fit the bill.On reading the instructions I was a tad worried, especially by the lid situation but really, its easier than it seems at first and I made a lovely meal from it the evening after its arrival, and felt satisfied by my meal, as since xmas 23 ive been struggling with an Air Fryer and was starting to feel despondent of ever being able to cook a satisfying meal again lol.My only dislike is that non of the meals in the recipe book are traditional English grub but it IS an Indian product so understandable...but thankfully I used a pressure cooker for 25 years before to cook for a family of 5 so it wasnt too hard to piece together and there IS a separate list at the back for individual items and the required cut sizes and timings. The 2 litre does not recommend cooking foods that create froth on cooking such as legumes etc as you will need much more space to allow for the froth so as not to block up the hole vent. Its easy to clean and first recommended test use to get comfortable with it is with water and vinegar which leaves a handy 2 cup meaure mark around the level. Two uses have not stained the bottom at all as in some of the comments so Im glad about that but. If it does then it is only the natural wear and teae of usage Im sure, comparing to the old ones I used to have over years gone by.All in all, I love this little gadget and will eventually go bigger, maybe, so I can make the Legume curries in the recipe book so I can share my food with others as this one makes enough for one person and is fine for just me.

Worst pressure cooker
This pressure cooker turned out to be a complete safety hazard. After facing issues, I contacted customer support and shared pictures and videos of the problem. Their team confirmed that the safety wall/component was broken, even though the product is still under warranty. The most horrifying part is that the cooker released tiny metal particles into the food during cooking. These particles were so small that they were not even visible to the naked eye. My children unknowingly ate that food before we realized something was seriously wrong. This is not just a quality issue — this is a serious safety concern. A pressure cooker contaminating food with metal particles should never happen. On top of that, the customer support experience was terrible. First, they asked me to send photos and videos. I did. Then they said the format was not working and asked me to send everything again in another format. I did that too. The third time, they again claimed the format was not working and asked me to resend everything yet again. I refused because the files were clearly working on my side. Suddenly they responded saying, “Yes, now it’s working.”What kind of customer support is this? Instead of helping customers with a dangerous product issue, they kept wasting my time repeating the same excuses.I would strongly warn families, especially those with kids, to stay away from this product. No customer should have to worry about metal contamination in their food from a pressure cooker.Extremely disappointed with both the product quality and the company’s safety standards.

Cooks easy and fast
Bought it a couple of days ago for some quick cooking like lentils, chickpeas, kidney beans or rice. Works fine and is value for money. Noise level is minimal but don’t be alarmed but the sudden release of steam. It’s normal for this type of cooker to release steam at once after pressure is built inside. The cooker itself is lightweight and easy to use. Lid function can be a bit tricky for someone new to thus type of cooker and the lid nay seem to not fit in. There’s a trick to it. You have to insert the lid at a diagonal angle and rotate to lock it. Same while opening. Overall satisfied 👍🏻

It's a gem
Love this. The lid is a little tricky at first but it's very easy once you suss out how to use it. It's actually very well engineered and works perfectly. I wanted it mainly for hard-boiled eggs and it works a treat. I bought the 1.5 litre. The eggs took 10 minutes. 5 minutes to get up to temperature and 5 minutes to cook. The shells are so easy to peel after pressure cooking. So glad I bought this.

great quality
Great for small amounts of food. You may get a bit of a surprise first time you use it when the pressure valve blows off. This is natural and lets you know when to lower the temperature. The new style of valve doesn't rock like the old style. After a couple uses you will love it. Hawkins products are excellent quality.
