Did what it needed to do
I have now had this item for close to 5 years, and I can say it was pretty reliable. It got me through the long nights of nursing school, from the comfort of my bed and couch during covid when we weren't allowed on campus. It was especially helpful at times when I was sick on numerous occasions and after surgery. While I don't necessarily use it for my laptop anymore, it still is of good use as a tabletop art easel. The light, while it still works it does not work as well as I had it when i first bought it all those years but what can you expect. As for the fan I haven't tried it in some time due to losing the charger but if the light still works I assume the same for the fan. My only true gripe is sometimes when I wanted the table top tilited, if i didn't double check it was in place it would fall when placing my laptop on it. Other than that it's pretty easy to use and does what it's supposed to.

Great Laptop Desk
Fan works beautiful. Been over a month since I ordered. Desk can raise higher( i am just short and petite so this size works fine for me). For the fan to work you have to plug it into computer. Batteries are needed for light. Comes with inside storage.Mouse pad side does not move but everything else about the desk is great. Durable and will last a while for my usage.

I SO want to love this
I SO wish I could give this a higher score. I want to love it so badly, and I DO like it. I use it practically every day. But it’s materials let it down. If it was made of something other than plastic, it would be great. But the legs wobble when you try to collapse it, and the grooves that hold the legs open are just that, grooves that a plastic tab fits into to hold the legs open. I have to leave it open all the time for fear that the plastic is going to wear away and destabilize the whole thing. The plastic tabs that hold the second compartment closed broke almost immediately, so now the second drawer is useless. I even had to take it shut because it kept flipping open. That being said, the design of the computer side works wonderfully. The fan helps my gaming laptop’s cooling system extremely well. And even in the raised position the laptop is sturdy and I never feel like I have to worry that it’s going to fall off or that the shelf is going to break. If this thing had better legs and drawer construction, it would be a 6/5 for me.

Highly recommend, but a couple of things to consider...
Overall I am VERY happy with the purchase. But I wanted to pass along a couple of observations in case it matters to you.Sturdiness: It is made of plastic. But the quality and fit are excellent, no sharp edges, plastic is thick and doesn't flex much. I give sturdiness 4 however because the mouse pad when angled is only supported on the right side. If you watch the demo video carefully, you will see it deflect when the user moves a mouse on it. Presumably the pad was only supported on the right to make room for the storage area in the tray. This really is no big deal for me because I don't need the mouse pad to be angled. But if you want it angled, you might want to consider this.Value for money: When comparing to similar trays prior to purchase, this is significantly more costly than many of the trays made of wood. I am used to thinking that plastic should be cheaper than wood. However, the inexpensive wood trays were all made of bamboo, and there were lots of reports of cracks and warping (it is bamboo, after all). I give it 4 stars in terms of value because I really didn't need the light, fan, and USB ports. But admittedly these features are value-add for many users, in which case if you need these items then value for money would be much higher for you than for me. Still, I am glad to have paid more for a sturdy plastic tray than for a bamboo tray that is subject to warping and cracking.Leg room: I am 6'3 and 185 lbs, and when I first set up the table I was worried about leg room. Turns out it is no problem. The legs are extendable to make the tray sit higher, but when using it in bed I find that the optimal position for me is not to have the legs extended at all!Hope this helps.

Don't listen to most of these reviews this thing is GREAT
The media could not be loaded. It's amazing it was everything I needed for the price, all the others are this price or MORE so less features, crappies fans(razor blade 15 has a design flaw where the fan that expells the most heat sits under the monitor I needed a wide fan not just a small awful circle there are extra air holes at the top allowing my computer to cool down) non-extendable legs or stuff I just DONT care about. YES it does come with a battery option so you don't HAVE to plug it into your computer. The pegs on the legs to pop out unevenly(not one smooth motion) so I do try to be careful just incase but this plastic is still more than sturdy. I read all these reviews and second guessed my purchase in the worst way I was really nervous about my delivery(you guys suck) but I'm infact more than please this thing is my baby, screw every other over priced lap desk.IMPORTSNT NOTE: When opening the compartments push inward and open at the same time or you'll break the pegs holding the compartments shut. Don't just force it. IN and pull same time. Like a medicine bottle. Not a design flaw. Just not mentioned.
