Limits the wind manhandling your stove
I got this windscreen to make my camping stoves more effective. It indeed is lightweight- very thin plates make this very easy to pack. Some of this off brand equipment can be a bit low quality- but I would not say this about this windscreen. Although you would have to really fail exceptionally to ruin a windscreen. It is sturdy and come with its own carry bag that makes stowing away easy.I found that it worked as expected with my 2 stove types- butane canister and an coleman 525 single burner . I t also keeps the stoves working efficiently by reducing some loss of heat. I you have a really large pot that might not work as well. It did not use it with my alcohol trangia, but I would expect it would perform well since that stove has low profile.

good value for money
a good lightweight windscreen. has pins to stake in ground. now, i say lightweight because each panel is a very THIN piece of aluminum, which means it is very susceptible to bending. just be careful. if you really mess a panel up, you can take it out and it should still work. now, times that small weight by 8 or 12 and you have a package thats not exactly light, but still worth EVERY gram. looking for a cheap windscreen for your camp/backpack setup? look no further, you will not be disappointed. you want a sturdy screen built to last decades? keep surfin charlie.

Handy in many applications.
Wind and fire are always a problem. You usually wind up improvising something. This windscreen is portable, compact and flexible, but not very stable. It is thin, light weight, but flimsy. The only mechanism to secure it is 2 "pins", one at either end, you push into the ground. If you do not have ground to anchor to, you will have to improvise. In the attached picture, I am using magnetic clips to hold the windscreen. It did work in this application, reducing temperature swings during wind gusts measurably. Overall, it is functional and usable, but still requires some improvising.

Perfect for Genesis Jetboil camp stove
I was looking for a more stable windscreen to go with my Genesis Jetboil camp stove. I purchased the REDCAMP 12 plate folding windscreen. It worked perfectly and folded up and put back In it’s own carrying case it fits on top of camp stove to be stored inside jetboil case.I also used it on a windy day to block the wind while starting campfire. Love dual purpose items.

Not as good as it used to be.
Bought this wind screen two years ago and it was solid well made product with thick gauge panels. Purchased it again and this product is now degraded in quality. The panel material is thinner and bends easily. The bag it comes with didn't have any screen printing nor a cord lock as before. This is no better than the $6 no name windscreen I bought here on Amazon to same money and I tried to return because it was so flimsy.

Easy to use and works really well
We have used this windscreen many times. It is very useful on windy days for a small cooking fire, or for use with a back packing stove or camp Dutch oven. It is light weight and serves its purpose well.

Defective Product - quality control issues
Rarely if ever give a one star review but this product more than deserves it. This product will be completely useless to use as a windscreen. As soon as I took it out of its sack the rods holding windscreen together started falling out and screens started falling out. You can put them back but nothing will help them stay. One small puff of wind your screen is done. Poor it falls apart. I have similar screens from other companies low priced and high priced. Never an issue. But this product not made to last nor even to use! Also the aluminum is so thin (not super lightweight thru hike cool thin), it bends as easy as a pop can. Put this in your pack and after a hike it will come out wrinkled and crumpled like tin foil. In actuality you would have better luck using a roll of Reyonlds aluminum foil than this thing.Obviously the PRC factory decided to stick it to the customer on this one as quality is glaringly bad.

A little tempermental but worth the time and hassle
I wanted one for my home kitchen & the "kitchen" ones are just 3 pieces of hinged metal & will only fit a certain size pan. I was tired of fry grease getting everywhere in a pan so large I can't find a lid to fit it. The panels swing freely on their hinges so they might "wiggle" a bit much for some people, but I wanted that flexibility to conform to different sized burners or whatever pan size I was using and it works well for me, AND it leaves a gap that I can reach in with spoon or spatula without knocking it over. Once done, I rinse it well & put it straight in to the dishwasher. There is a proper "up" side. Use it, or the hinge pin will try to come out. They are easy to put back in, but if I just keep an eye one which is "up", it's no problem. Worth every penny and wish I'd found it years sooner.
