The Official SAT Subject Tests in Mathematics Levels 1 & 2 Study Guide

My son used the Barron's book to study for the Math Level 2 test and was scoring 680-700 on the practice tests. He also kept running out of time. It was baffling because he's very good at math and he was starting to feel badly about himself and his ability to succeed on the test. So we ordered this book to see how he would do on a real test and he scored 800 on both tests in the book with time to spare. It really boosted his confidence and he felt ready the day of the actual test. While the Barron's book was excellent preparation, nothing compares to taking real tests right before exam day. (And yes, he did get an 800 on the actual exam.)

My son used this to get a perfect score of 800. The SAT tests specific content, which may or may not match what was taught in a specific HS. My son loves math and was delighted that this book showed him that there were topics on the SAT test he had never seen before and it was worth taking the time to learn them. There is no doubt this book improved his score by a significant amount, and I would recommend it, just to make sure the student knows the scope of the test.

I am a private math tutor and author of Math Study Guide for the SAT, ACT and SAT Subject Tests: Final Edition. Although there are only four practice tests in this book (two for level 1 and two for level 2), they are the best available. I usually have students start with practice tests from third parties such as Kaplan and Princeton Review, but always have them finish with these tests.I found a mistake in problem 37 of the second level 2 practice test. The page number varies depending on what printing you have, but the tests themselves did not change. The problem uses the triangle inequality, which states that any side of a triangle is strictly less than the sum of the other two sides. The solution to the problem is wrong because it uses less than or equal to rather than strictly less than. So for this problem 7<(b-a)<17 which means that there are two correct answers to the problem, either 5 or 7.

In preparation for the SAT Math Level 2 Subject Test, I bought this tool in expectation of 2 practice tests that were different from the practice test already available in the "Official Study Guide for ALL SAT Subject Tests". Unfortunately, I was dissapointed.Although the book advertises 2 practice tests for both the Level 1 and Level 2 exams, it does not say that one of each is the exact same as the one available in the Official Study Guide for All SAT Subject Tests. Since I already had purchased the latter book, I essentially only received one practice test.

The book is very well written. For both the SAT math 1 and 2 tests, there are two practice tests for each that were administered from previous years. These tests are very comprehensive and are just like the real ones. They also come with an answer key and a detailed explanation guide for every single question. There are helpful study tips ​and other statistics about the difficulty of each question. Overall, very good book to review for the SAT math subject tests

The College Board has monopolized the review business for Math 2. These tests are available in no form whatsoever online, so stop looking. I bought a used book and erased all of the answers. The tests are as close as you can come to the real thing. You must take these to avoid what some people call "Barron's or Chung syndrome"-- that is when you over prep for the exam and forget how to do the easy stuff!

This book is good for taking a practice test, but if you haven't learned all the subject matter yet (as was the case for me and the math 2 test), this book does not cover the material. The Kaplan math 2 book goes over everything on the test and describes how to solve every problem, which is great. The practice tests in this college board book are better, though, so I would recommend buying both

I tried Barron's SAT Math Level 2, it was [purposely] more difficult than the actual test. I bought this product hoping it would be the most accurate to how the test would be written and laid-out, and it was. The practice test was easier than Barron's and was actually very accurate to how the test would be shown. I am very happy that I made the decision of buying this book.

Excellent book. Got me from low to mid 600s to 740 in Math 1 and 760 in Math 2 in under 1 week!! Could not recommend this more. MUCH better than Princeton Review / Barrons books in my opinion.

Ich habe mir das Buch gekauft, da ich mich auf einer amerikanischen Uni beworben habe und dort SAT Tests Pflicht sind.Das Buch ist gut um einen Eindruck zu bekommen, wie so ein Test ausschaut, die Benotung erfolgt und um einen Probetest zu machen.Jede/r der/die den SAT macht sollte zumindest überlegen, ob man das Buch kauft. Schließlich ist der Test selbst nicht billig, da kann man auch gerne mal ein paar Euro mehr ausgeben und dafür besser beim Test abschneiden :)Also alle Ehrgeizigen: Hier zuschlagen!
