Overall the product would of gotten a 5 star if the cork remover actually worked. I’ve tried different wine bottles thinking it was just that but no luck. The rest of the kit is still useful.

That little grey symbol in the bottom of the picture reads "Exclusively for Red Wine". The description is for all bottle types, shapes and sizes. Of course, you would not use this opener for sparkling wine--that just makes sense! Having used this bottle opener with great success for many months, I was used to allowing the cork to "ease" its way out without the hard "pop" that occurs if you pump it too fast! However, Ignoring the background of this picture, you will see that the cork was coming out (slowly) and I added more pressure. The result was this explosion of the 1.5 liter bottle!! Luckily, no one was hurt, nor was my hand impaled with shards of glass, although glass was found 10 feet away into the living room!Our flooring may be ruined as we used the shop wet/dry vac to clean the mess and used towels to soak up the remaining wine! There's only so much one can do to soak up 1.5 liters of wine without getting lacerated.Yes--I used to love this opener, but I'm extremely apprehensive now!!

Product works as advertised. Stab the cork with the needle; pump a couple pumps, after that with each pump the cork works its way out. No fuss.. has worked every time so far!The foil cutter works well to cleanly expose the cork.

I was excited to use this product after seeing videos from "Cork Genius", but I went with the more affordable route which I took a chance on this product. After I received it I tried impressing my female friend, but it was a HUGE FAIL and I looked like a fool! Everything else seems to work, but the main product the Wine Air Pressure Pump doesn't work at all when trying several times! I would give this product a 1 star, but giving it a 3 stars since the other items work just fine.

After a trip to Portugal several years ago, I developed a taste for Port wine. I occasionally splurge for a nice bottle. The best ports tend to be older, sometimes 20 or 30 years aged. When trying to open with a conventional corkscrew, the aged cork disintegrates during the opening process. I have found myself too many times straining expensive port with a fine colander or cheesecloth. I researched other opening methods and discovered this one. I’m happy to report that this does work really well, it keeps the cork intact, and if I ever were able to save any extra the vacuum function preserves it better. I can see this working great for any older wines, old port is just my preference.

This works well. However, the first time I used it in front of men, it got quite a laugh because of the action you must use to pump the air into the bottle.

This is great once you get used to the pop lol. I overdid it the first time I used it and it made me jump. Now I know how many times to pump it and it works well. I have arthritis really bad in my hands and this is much easier than a regular wine opener. It’s also much smaller than the other fancy wine openers I’ve had and no batteries to worry about

This is the most dangerous item I have ever owned. I was opening a bottle of wine tonight and as the process proceeded (I have used this item many times) it abruptly exploded from the bottom of the bottle all over my face, walls, drapes, blinds, and floor. I was EXTREMELY SCARED THAT MY EYES WERE DAMAGED. I screamed for my husband to help. It took me over 30 minutes to breath normally. I felt like a bomb went off in my face and was scared and blinded. BUT my floor, drapes, walls, and furniture were also damaged. We are going to have to pay someone to clean our floors, walls, and drapes. I am unsure about my eyes and face.
