I started using the same brand's elderberry liquid a few years ago. It works great too, but you really need to remember to take it morning and night for it to be effective, plus you need to keep that in the fridge. I really like the gummies bc they #1 - work (2 in the morning and 2 at night and I don't feel the almost every week cold onset feelings like before, #2 taste good and not covered in sugar, #3 easy to store in bathroom for morning and at desk for evening doses, and, #4 -work.I have to include that they work twice because I have always been sickly and often feeling achey or like a cold is about to come on at least once a week in the winter. I found out the aches were due to an autoimmune condition, but now I'm on immunosuppressants so I pay more attention to keeping colds or other viruses at bay. I was always taking echinacea as a kid, vitamin C supplements, EmergenC, apple cider vinegar (but that hurts your stomach if you take it daily), zinc, etc... the list goes on. I will say Vitamin C gummies everyday do mimic this for me, but those gummies are always sugar-crusted and I'm not big on straight up candy like that.The only thing about Gummy-vitamins are, you cannot make this a part of your life if you have any dental work - like no crowns or fillings. I really regret causing my mom extra dental bills and pain by pushing these on her, but it's hard to make the elderberry syrup part of your lifestyle/habits.I will also say -- this brand is much better than other elderberry I've tried. I even buy local honey to work best with my local allergens, but the other elderberry stuff I've tried is just not as effective.I hope it works as well for you as it has for me.

I have an immune system issue. I believe these are helping to keep me healthier.

I have bought these for years and love them! I work in an elementary school and my son goes to daycare and we have significantly cut down on illness after taking these. They were also delicious! But! My last bottle said new formula and they are gross! Texture is much harder and the taste isn't great...so disappointed!

Update 5/30/2019: Elderberry is the bomb! Made it through flu season and Spring. Took no flu shot. Spent time in the presence of multiple "sickies" (and I say that with humor and love because it was a rough flu season and my heart broke at the time to see so many people sick) but I never got a single sniffle. I have since "graduated" from Zhou's elderberry gummies to their syrup. Between the two, I stayed well.Original review: I like these gummies. They are tart and sweet. I like everything in the ingredient deck except for the cane sugar. They have about as many carbs (6) as half a slice of bread which would have been a show stopper for me when I was on a keto diet. Anybody who has been on that knows that you safeguard what few carbs you are allotted for delicious food additives and low carb veggies so you won't end up bored, deprived, etc. But now that I am on a less carb restricted plan, I have no problems working them into a sensible diet. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is because I won't know if they are working ...until they don't. I am on a sensible healthy plan. I feel emotionally healthy. I engage in moderate exercise and I'm not under exceptional stress right now, so if I were to suddenly come down with a severe cold or flu that I couldn't shake and there were no underlying illnesses weakening my immunity, I would have to say: "So much for the Elderberry gummies! " But until then, I just don't know. I can't say. I haven't been on them quite a month and the cold and flu season is only just beginning. If, at the end of this cold and flu season, I can survive it without any severe cold or flu, I'll come back and update my review. In fact, I have no intention of taking the flu shot this year. It is risky I know but I read a reviewer's comment on another Elderberry supplement (which was an elderberry syrup with a comparable ingredient deck, I believe), and they said that they hadn't taken a shot or had the flu in 5 years since supplementing with that particular Elderberry immune support product. So for now, all that I can say is that they taste great and they seem to have a really good ingredient deck and I have not been sick so far.

We’ve been ordering these elderberry gummies since 2019, but have technically been consuming since before then (my sister, also a loyal customer, got us into these before that). They were AMAZING! My husband is super picky, and even he was obsessed and got his male friends into them. A few months ago, they arrived looking very strange and extremely melted, so we just assumed it was because of the summer heat. We did get reimbursed for those (thank you), but then realized that all new bottles look suspicious, and they have an added tag that says, “Great New Formula.” Well, we just finished up our stock of the old gummies, and tried these new gummies for the first time. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! The texture is no longer gummy (and no longer a soft texture consistently thru), but have a weird, harder texture that seems melty on the outside and harder on the inside. The taste is no longer delicious, but literally tastes like Play-Doh. We immediately unsubscribed from our monthly subscription, and regret that we still have some of these gross bottles that we now have to finish. Why on earth did you switch the formula in terms of taste and texture!? Did the others have bad stuff added that you removed!? So sad to have to move on from a gummy we’ve loved since before 2019. If you go back to the previous formula, let us know, otherwise, we are going to buy local elderberry syrup or just start making our own syrup. We went from 100% recommend to 100% do NOT. Save your money and support local instead (or make your own).
