works great, add some heat to apply
I just tried this for the first time, applied to a pair of keys that badly needed wax. It is a bit tough to apply and spread but I found that if you use a hair dryer to heat up the wax a little before you spread it, it goes on easier. I also used the hair dryer as I was working the wax into the ski base with the cork, and it went very quickly. I skied about 20,000 vertical feet in 30 degree weather. The skis moved nicely on the snow, and there was still wax on the bases when I was done. This is great stuff to use in between hot waxes.

Great for a day-before snowboard session!
Quick application the day before a snowboard session! Obviously, still get a full tune up and wax but this does the job when you want your board waxed ASAP.

Good stuff
Apparently works well on my downhill skis, fish scaled (“no wax”) cross country skis, and on the outer two thirds of my classic wooden cross country skis. I’m no expert or racer, but it’s easy to tell that the glide is improved. And this shape is easier to hold than the typical little blocks sold in ski shops. (It also helps to put a cylinder behind the wax to serve as a piston when applying the wax.) I use this wax only for temperatures above 10 degrees Fahrenheit, since I have a polar glide wax for colder temps in which all-purpose waxes do not work as well.

Easy to use, effective, and affordable!
I had a last minute trip planned with some of my friends to go snowboarding and was kind of in a tough situation. My board hadn't been waxed in a long time, and the last mountain trip I had stripped all of the wax off my board and even damaged it quite a bit since the terrain was rocky. Last minute, of course, meaning I didn't have time to refer to my usual means to get it done. I was skeptical that this little tube could do what I needed but it was my *only* hope. It came the day I was leaving, thankfully. I took it to the mountains and was able to use it the day before we hit the slopes. Imagine my shock at seeing that this small green tube of wax completely got my board in perfect shape in a matter of like 30 minutes. I didn't need to heat the wax at all, either. I just cleaned the bottom of my board and rubbed the wax in, then I used to the cork to buff it out. I'd argue that an amazing, 5 star product is all of these things: fairly priced, relatively simple to use, and absolutely effective at what its intended to do. This product meets and exceeds all of these categories. I would recommend it to anyone.

Great on the fly wax
I used this product as a last minute fix to a couple boards I have. I applied the night before going to the sloppes. I used a decent amount of elbow grease to apply the products to each board. I would say about 10-15 minutes application with firm pressure to cover the whole board. After the entire board was fully covered on wax, I used a razor blades to smooth the surface, them used the cork buffer that came with the wax. Overall probably about 45 minutes of total application time. This wax was FAST. I had very low expectations starting out, and was pretty well shocked at how fast and easy I was sliding in the snow. There were probably about 2-3 inches of fresh show, and I like to dip into the trees a lot. I had no problem getting places I had a harder time getting to on other days. Give this stuff a try if you're in a pinch. Smells pretty good too.

Works well, but needs lots of buffing
This worked great once I figure it out! Okay, if you have never waxed a board before (like I had not) then this is going to be a learning process. The steps below will help if you’re like me and you put on too much wax on your first go. 1. The wax may become clumpy and flakey looking when applied. It’s fine, I promise. 2. BUFF THE EVER LIVING CRAP OUT OF IT. I mean it. I gave it a wee buff with the cork top and it flattened the clumps, but still looked sketchy. Then I wrapped a 1.5” steel bearing ball in microfiber cloth—game changer. Those clumps get spread evenly and the metal ball holds enough low heat to make the wax more movable. 3. Buff it again. Buff it until the bottom of your board looks like a frosted stein (because of the wax layer, not from scratching). 4. Flip that microfiber cloth around and give it a good wipe to remove any dust. You should have some moderate sheen if it’s compressed enough. To be clear, this process and my errors were not the fault of the product, which is why I gave it 5 stars. This product clearly works well for application, I just went overboard on my initial application. I’ll update after I try a ride on it.

like any rub on wax
***UPDATED*** dropped from 5 stars to 3. Put a good waxing on for a very cold day and does not work as well. Was SUPER grippy to the snow until about the third or fourth run when some of it had started to wear down. Still a good product but now for "all temperatures". ***ORIGINAL**** like any rub on wax, it's only going to last you a whole day, and that is if it even last you that long. but super easy to apply, and runs very smooth and fast on the slopes.

good product, needs a better buffing pad.
This is my first time using this wax. Not a bad product ! Takes some time to apply though… definitely cheaper than having someone do it for you or a hot wax kit. The cork top is suppose to spread it around the board evenly but gets caked up really quick, I did what I could, but eventually went out and grabbed a polishing pad and a drill and spent a good 15 min buffing out all the high spots. If I didn’t have the drill who knows how long it would take. Sure, I might of put an excess amount on, but still, I can’t see that cork buffing pad last more than 1 time use. Definitely worth the price and to throw it in your pack for emergency!

I ride anywhere from 30-40 days a season. Is this wax going to match a shop wax? Yes probably. Will it last as long between waxing. No. 1 stick has lasted a dozen applications heavily put onto snowboards and skis with about 1/4 left to use. Directly rubbed on when at the hill works great. I also have rubbed, melted (heat gun) and scrapped at home with even better results. The only downside of this stick is that it is applied like chap stick ( you have to push it out from the bottom) and there is no lock to hold it in place. Your hand will get sore after a while if your really working it in. Still totally worth it for performance improvement.

Its meant for people like me who go maybe 1-3 times a year on the mountains and are able to wax their board quickly! It does come off easier than other waxing products that take a while to dry/cure on. Would recommend for quick fixes!
