Not Good For This Application.
This pump from Aquatec was being sold by GE and Hydro Logic for use with the Merlin and Evolution tankless RO systems. This is why I bought it, but in this application it works poorly. I don't know if this pump works well for other application because this is how I use it. This is a variable-speed pump that is intended to maintain a roughly 65psi for the Evolution RO system, while pumping up to about 3 gpm. The Evolution is a 1000gpd system, which translates into about 0.7gpm. Add in the 2:1 waste water and you get a usage of about 2.1gpm. This pump is designed where you just plug it is, and its supposed to do all the rest. The pump does maintain the 65psi pressure a few seconds after drawing water for the Evolution, but the problem is when you shut off the water, this pump will cycle on and off for several minutes after you use water. This is loud and VERY annoying. My guess is that the plastic tubing has some give which gets this pump into an on-and-off cycling mode. Eventually it does shut off, but if you do so much a flush a toilet in another room, this will slightly disrupt the pressure enough to start it cycling again. For me I fixed the problem by hooking up a flow sensor to my water, and designing a system that would only power the pump when water was flowing. When the water flow stopped, the power to the pump was cut. This worked, but shouldn't have been necessary.

It works.
I hate that I had to buy this but is does work. It comes with elbow fittings and strait fittings.
