Looks and smells great, but the price is a bit much
I upgraded to this case from the plastic/PU/whatever non-leather Amazon origami case when it started to show wear. I loved the idea of it getting a patina over time and becoming soft with wear. The hinge portion of the leather definitely has, but the rest is taking longer.I absolutely love the origami aspect of the case. I thought I would hate it coming from a book-like cover, but it's so wonderful. It meets my needs perfectly. I do a lot of reading at a counter, and I can just set the Kindle down so I don't have to hold it. It makes reading easier on my arms.My only concern with this case is the price. I don't think I will buy it again when it wears out (unless it lasts for years), due to the cost. But it is a great leather product. So if you have the disposable income, I'd recommend it.Update: I didn't realize that I had owned this case for over a year. The only major wear (other than slight scuffs) is some discoloration and depression at the corners of the case which form the "point" the of the stand. This is understandable, as I often slide the case around when in standing position. So I have increased my rating to 5 stars.

I Love It
--- 6 MONTH UPDATE ---Still in love with this cover. Every time I use my kindle I marvel at its beauty. I carried it in a jacket pocked with some other items for a period and they scratched it up a bit, but true to form, over time, these scratches fade and add character. Cloth wears out where leather gets better.Looking over comments I see lots of people voting the cover down for reasons of weight, not liking the origami feature, and some not liking the look of the leather. Any cover is going to add some weight and bulkiness and some folks are just more sensitive to this than others. This cover simply doesn't weigh enough to make it a big deal IMHO. As for the leather and the origami folding, you bought it sight seen, and don't have to fold it if you don't want to so why down-vote or complain? For my part, I rarely use the stand and it doesn't get in my way. I think I've already mentioned how much I love the look. Leather comes in several finishes and there are plenty of user images to compare with so you really shouldn't be surprised if the finish isn't what you prefer. Everyone has an opinion about what Premium means--usually it means a higher price--and you should always be skeptical when you see that word. In this case, I agree with the label. In short, this cover gives the kindle some old-world charm that makes it look less like a modern-day piece of plastic. It takes the kindle from looking like little more than a toy into the realm of importance and seriousness.--- END OF UPDATE ---Some have called the Origami covers ugly. I wouldn't go there anymore than I would call them lovely, but this cover is--and feels--beautiful. I tend to favor function over form, and functionally this cover works well. It takes a bit of getting use to how to fold it but everything else is intuitive. the kindle is held in magnetically and that is perhaps the least lovable feature, though it doesn't seem to easily fall out, it just doesn't feel all that secure.

Why I Recommend This Cover
I like nice leather accessories which made this cover a natural choice. The leather cover has a matte finish with a bit of a worn look to it. It reminds me of nice leather hiking boots. I like the look a lot.The inside top flap of the cover is black micro-fiber (a felt-like material) and has the magnetic closure feature for waking/sleeping. The inside bottom of the case holds the Voyage magnetically and is solid black plastic on the inside. The Voyage ON/OFF button is accessible on the back of the cover. The cover has a nice snug fit, but is not difficult to remove. The back has the Amazon logo engraved in the leather. The origami stand is easy to set up and is stable, and I find it useful. The cover is attractive, its features are useful, and it protects the Voyage - so five stars. The up/down opening and closing takes a little getting used to and if like me, you set your book down often, the access to the on/off button is important. When the cover is open, the top flap of the cover does cover the power button so you must raise it for access. (My photos of the Voyage cover were taken on a smooth dark brown leather ottoman.)

Leathery goodness
The star of the show for this case, and the reason most people would consider it over any other is, of course, the leather. The high quality cover feels great with an also pleasing soft, velvety black interior. Furthermore, it smells fantastic. This might sound a bit dumb but it was nice to take a good, long sniff of the case once or twice in the absence of real paper pages. Hey, I'll take what I can get!So if you like the weathered, distressed look, feel and smell then you're going to love this. I didn't go full-on 5-star however as I personally found the upward-facing edges on the bottom plastic portion to be a little too 'edgy' against my fingers and thumbs for my tastes, something that often has me shifting my hand position. This and the fairly high price are the reason it gets 4 stars. With that said, the case in general holds the Voyage firmly and is easy to remove so the magnetic connection seems effective. The origami fold system is also neat and works as advertised. One final thing of note. Twice I have accidentally brought the leather into contact with two greasy/oily substances that I initially thought would leave a permanent stain: half-melted butter and a blob of Blu-Tack that I left the case resting on overnight. Simply wiping the surface vigorously with a tissue got rid of both residues with no fuss. This case is designed to wear over time anyway so I wasn't too freaked out but I was still impressed that it shrugged them off so easily. Overall, very pleased with my purchase.
