The temperature is extremely adjustable and it goes like this:L - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - Hwhere L is gently warm and H is hot (and nice when you get into bed).The timer is from 1 to 9 hours and pushing the button cycles through the numbers.I can adjust the controls in the dark because the on/off is in the center, the temperature button on the left and the time control is on the right. Very simple to use.It requires 2 outlets, one for each side near the head of the bed, where the separate controls are, because the two sides heat separately.We are using this on a full bed and it works fine.We are very happy with our purchase and we have already recommended it to others.

Pros: The mattress pad heats very well and the size covers the top of the bed completely. I also like that it is dual zoned for his/her liking. It also has a nice plush feel so you don’t feel the wires inside.Cons: The elastic part of the heated mattress pad is way too big for my serta 13” icomfort mattress, it is useless at holding it on the bed. We ended up using our old mattress protector on top of the new heated mattress pad to hold it in place which kind of worked but the heated pad bunches up and stays wrinkled after sitting or laying in bed because there is no resistance to pull it back into place. I usually have to buy deep pocket sheets so I didn’t expect this problem. Another con in my opinion is the lack of options with the timer, I would really like to be able to set my own preference to the auto button or have it continually on or have a delay feature. Pretty much you will be just click click clicking the buttons all time to get it the way you want it, it’s only day 2 of this and I’m already annoyed with the lack of options with this digital controller.I won’t be bothering with a return the cons aren’t enough of a deal breaker to send it back, however I will purchase something different in the future when this one quits working and needs to be replaced.

Heavenly! I put the heating mattress pad under my fitted sheet to avoid having to wash the heating pad as often. It doesn't feel too bunched up and fits well and covers the surface of the queen size bed fully. I sleep with my windows open and it gets down to the 30/40s at night outside (obviously it's a little warmer in the room) but the magic of crawling into a warm bed is just that, magic. The highest setting does go down automatically to avoid overheated and burns, so I do have to turn it back on to high if I want to keep it there but really for the whole night it just needs to be no higher than a 5, give or take. When it is on High I can even feel it through the thin comforter if I lay on top of it. My dog seems to appreciate the extra heat too. The dual controlled sides are perfect for when my boyfriend stays over. He had enjoyed it so much too that he asked me to get him one for his place, which doesn't have heat and indoor Temps get down in the 50's. I would highly recommend this.

Buyer beware! None of the photos of the entire bed show the placement of the plugins for the controllers. They are ridiculously located about 8 inches from the top of the bed at the edge and are hard plastic. Unless you sleep alone this placement makes it easy to bump into the hard plastic controller with your hands or face while you sleep. If you put them at the bottom of the bed, the cords run down the sides of the bed and along the floor towards the top of the bed. With this placement, there is no way to hide the cords. I loved the softness and the quality of the materials but not the placement of the plugins.

I was a bit skeptical having tried several different heating mattress covers.This one is outstanding. Comfortable. Even heat. can not feel the wires due to the flannel cover. Stays on mattress . I am VERY pleased

just received it and placed it on my bed. see the pic for wire connectors- on top of the cover and stick out to the side!!! you can't even bend the wire connector. you can't put a fitted sheet over because of the stupid connectors. there are one on each side. made me wonder about all the other reviews on amazon!! do not recommend.

On low it only heats middle of the mattress.
