This hand held protector is great! The only thing that I was a little disappointed was with the strap for the holder, to be held on a belt. The first setting of the button is of a great flashlight; very bright! The second setting unfortunately turns the flashlight off and will ignite the stun, which is fine but in a dark location I wish that both were active on the second setting. Depending on how long the stun part is activated, there can be some breaks during the activation. That is the only concern that I have about the product. I hope to never have to use it, but living alone or other situations I want some protection. When in my apartment, I keep it on my headboard every night. The main thing that I advise for everyone that has one is to charge it about every other day just to be safe. The cord has a red light to show that it is plugged in, but there is not a fully charged sign. I would say a good eight hours for a charge. The charge cord is rather short, which works for me but depending on where one might charge it location wise-being on many safety committees in the past; I am just always cautious of potential dangerous situations. Say if this unit was being charged on the floor and you were not paying attention; well I just worry about the worst scenario. That's just me though, so concerned with details. A GREAT PROTECTION ITEM! I WAS SO SURPRISED AT THE LOW COST FOR SUCH AN INVALUABLE INVESTIMENT! (I hope that I spelled the last word correctly. I meant it to sound beyond cost.)

I like that this comes with a case/cover with Velcro. Easy to attach to my belt. Kinda too big to put in my jackets or pants pockets. I carry in my pants back pocket when I am walking around outside. Overall, definitely a great alternative to using a gun. This protects but doesn’t kill. The loud crackling sound and white brightness that is emitted should stop anyone in their tracks. If not the voltage will!

First day charging and the light does not come on had to wiggle the plug in the slot and blinked on and off .Tried to return but it was literally the last day to return the item so never gotn a chance with having to print labels and mail it out myself.Now im stuck with a unit that doesnt work at all.

do not think it is that great against human, to easily taken away -- but on walks dogs run back from the sparking-- charging dog will not come on in, simple as that-- worth the price to own and carry for an attacking dog-- or any predator-- add pepper spray and you would be hard to attack, simple as that

Just playing around with this, it makes a lot of noise!! Haven't had to use this just yet, but I'm sure this will deliver!!! Be careful as the prongs sometimes have a tendency to slide out of place and could cause you harm.

Worked great when I first got it. Now it doesn't work at all and I've only had it a few weeks. I left it on the charger charging though. That is probably the reason for the malfunction. Don't do what I did or it will not work anymore. Not completely sure if that is the reason but I won't buy this on just in case. I guess I'll be looking for another.
