The wing nuts were stripped. The clip for the plastic bags is too far up the handle to provide a decent “bag” area for the poop, and there should be a clip on each side. The “mechanism” to lock the jaws closed assumes everyone is right handed. As a handicapped person holding my cane in my right hand, this product is not functional.

I bought this scooper because I'm a senior and I live in a condo. I wanted to find a scooper that would ease the pick up process. I watched the video and I thought I would try it. It failed miserably. I've had it less than 2 weeks and the locking mechanism already doesn't work. The unit is also very cumbersome and poor quality. Bear in mind that I rarely write a review for any product, + or -, but I had to for this product. Don't waste your time or money!

The idea of the poop-n-scoop is great! Unfortunately the one that was delivered to my door didn't work. When it arrived I tried pulling the trigger on the handle a few times to test it out (without a bag or poop of course). Anyway the trigger kept getting stuck! Every time I got the trigger unstuck, I'd give it another go, and it would jam up again. Very frustrating, so imagine if you added dog poop to that mess? No thank you. I returned it. Better off just bending over!

Purchased as a gift the receiver is very pleased with the item.

Device does the job. It feels very flimsy in manufacture, but it does work as promised. If you are careful about how you use it, and if you take care of it and keep up with its maintenance, then this device ought to last you the lifetime of the unit. Being a disabled man unable to bend over or squat down, this instrument is the only way I can independently take care of my canine's defecate without asking for someone's help.The added bonus: it has a clip which allows you to affix it to your belt. This makes it additionally easy to carry it around with you. Setting it up with a poop-bag is straight forward and easy enough to master in two quick movements. I like the fact that it folds up and is portable.Even though I always protect my hands by wearing fine rubber gloves when handling defecate material, nevertheless, I have never had an incident whereby any defecate material ever touched my protected, gloved hands while using this device.I highly recommend it...it's only my opinion that it is priced too high. But then again, there isn't another product like this available...one that works as well and is as solidly constructed (for what its worth, that is).
