Great ankle support
I tore ligaments in my ankle after a bad fall and was in an uncomfortable full boot. My friend lent me this and it made a big difference. I quickly purchased my own.It has plastic on both sides (removable) to support the ankle and the laces allow you to adjust the fit. I like that it has Velcro straps that wrap around the foot for extra support. I wear this all day at work with no issues. It’s definitely worth trying.

Does the job
Needed a 2nd ankle brace after surgery for a fractured ankle. This was the same brand my orthopedist gave me which is why I chose it. A bit of a pain to put on because there are long laces, then 2 side velcro straps that cross under the foot and a 3rd wide strap that secures around the top of the ankle but once you get the sequence, its no problem really. Good stability, comfortable enough to wear for hours. DId the job.

Best overall ankle brace for sports or serious walking
For those like me with serious ankle stability problems this is probably the best solution even though it is somewhat tedious to lace up and remove every day. The support is superior to the primary alternative, a somewhat lighter brace that uses only Velcro straps. The Procare is versatile; for example, the plastic support strips in their own pockets on each side are removable if you don’t need them. I have several ankle braces that provide less support but the Procare is my default if I expect to do any significant walking or other exercise during the day. The price of about $22 seems reasonable, in part because my Podiatrist supplied the first one I had, for which he charged me $120, which my insurance did not cover!

Keeps area stiff and supported while reducing mobility
Have a stress fracture and needed a brace to keep my ankle immobilized without a hard boot & this works. The sides are stiff (though if you did something major you could possibly bend the sides) and once you slip your foot into it you can only move your foot up & down a very small amount (it primarily keeps it at a 90 degree angle.) It takes a bit of time to put on & take off, & im not a fan of the laces as i feel the pressure isnt as even but it still does what is needed. It wont fit in a dress shoe but if you loosen your sneaker it fits just fine. Also i found the size a little odd, i am an 8.5 womens shoe size with wide ankles, my measurments put me right between a small & medium so i bought a medium: I have wide legs but still it is a little loose in the leg/shin area & around the heel (see photo), but the criss-crossing straps (straps A & B) barely reached. I started wearing a compression ace bandage underneath for added support & to reduce the loose space. Overall does what i need for a good price.

To make sure it fits comfortably
Item is very light weight and easy to walk in. The strings are a little too short could not string it all the way up had to leave the top two eyelets open

Works amazingly well
This provides so much support. The difference with it on versus off is incredible. Worth more than the cost!

Not durable
Let me start off by saying that I’m an athlete and have worn a Procare brace (same make and model) for several seasons. It is so comfortable and I love it, but unfortunately it was getting too old and I needed a replacement.I ordered a replacement from Procare and it was just as comfy as I remembered! But after two wears, a hole ripped in the seam near the Achilles pad. I returned it and got a replacement. I wore the new replacement tonight (first wear) and again, the seam ripped in the same place.TLDR: Would give 5 stars for comfort, 1 star for durability. :(
