What a fun game! 10/10
I've played many types of games, but this one was refreshing. Something new, and great balance of thought and creativity. Takes a minute to wrap your head around some of the riddles, but its nice to have to think outside the box (literally in this game). Glad this game exists. Great for couple dates or small gatherings.

Terrific building set!
This is a terrific building set! The recipient of this gift loved that the set could be used in two different ways. The value of this set was good. It wasn't too difficult to assemble, and was a lot of fun. The build quality was quite excellent.I'm glad I purchased this item.

Replay Notes, No Spoilers
♦To Replay, Make Copy of Cards: C, D, E, F, P, V, & X.I would even pick up a used game as the cards could be copied even after you play the game once. I don't think the "use" would show up on a copier.Excellent quality game, as always. I love the feel of the cards, the box is sturdy, the tray holds everything neatly, and the decoder disc looks great. I've now done 4 of these games and this one was my favorite (in order of favorites: Sinister Mansion, Sunken Treasure, Museum, Science Lab). I liked that these weren't just riddles to solve, but this one seemed to involve manipulating the pieces of the game more so than some of the others. There was only one puzzle that I really got stuck on. It was clever and somewhat solvable, but i had to use all 3 clues to get past it. If you're looking for a first Exit game, go with a level 2 (Sunken Treasure was great) to get the hang of the style and their way of thinking. Then try this one.

Excellent and very challenging edition to the series
This is my sixth Exit the Game play-through. My husband and I do these as a shared hobby and also enjoy live escape games. Compared to some of the other Exit games, I would say this is definitely a step up from beginner level, but if you're experienced with Exit games, it's solid. I found the puzzles to be challenging, for sure, but they all made sense. We never had an issue not being able to work out the solution, even though some of the puzzles took a full twenty minutes. We don't worry about time when we play, so that takes the pressure off to perform quickly. Plus, we have to have time to refresh our wine glasses. After reading some of the other reviews, I feel like it is important to point out that while I understand that it can be frustrating to not "get" a puzzle, that doesn't mean that it doesn't make sense to someone else. I see this over and over when my husband and I play: something will quickly click for me and he'll sit there looking confused while I solve it, and sometimes it's the other way around. In the case where no one in your group figures out the puzzle without help, it's not that the puzzle is at fault. And neither are you. It's just that the puzzle doesn't connect with your particular way of thinking. And that's why it's great to have the tiered clue cards. Sometimes all you need is a touch of guidance and sometimes you'll need more. The point I'm trying to make is that so far, with six games under my belt, I have yet to see a puzzle that straight up didn't make sense or couldn't be solved. I like that I don't instantly understand them all. It won't be any fun if I didn't have to push myself to find another perspective. My suggestion is to have people around you who think very differently than you do and to take the pressure of time away. If you get stuck, put it away for a day or two, or take a clue card and reconsider the puzzle.I now own all of the Exit the Game games and am steadily plowing through them. I'll let you know if I run into anything truly unsolvable. Until then, enjoy this game! It's full of excellent twists!
