PelicanStorm iM3100 Case With Foam (Black)

I got this for my husband because it has wheels, which made moving it (fully loaded ~ 50lbs) through the airport, baggage claim, to the rental car shuttle, to the car and into the hotel room and back so much easier. It's secure, water tight and protected his equipment perfectly. Would buy again

This will be a great case to use for going to the shooting range with my pistol and bullpup shotgun plus magazines for both of them along with ear protection in a secure case that has wheels.I used a hot blade to shape the foam. If I had screwed up the foam, I could have purchased new foam or swapped the middle layers of foam and started over with a new top layer for customizing.

My Pelican cases are very sturdy and hold up under some rough conditions and can take considerable abuse even though you may not intend to mistreat your precious cargo.I currently own 4 Pelican "Storm" model cases (with foam), 3 are 36.5" x 14" x 6" interior dimensions, and the forth is 50.5" X 14" x 6" interior dimensions. I use them to transport long guns to and from the range and also to store the guns when at home under padlock and key. I very much appreciate the fact that they keep the guns safe from moisture and well cushioned against mishaps like bangs and drops. Each one I have received has been in perfect condition—which may be more about the seller, but the actual product has more than met my expectations each time and I will continue to purchase Pelican cases in the future. Incidentally, please consider that you will need a bit more space to store your Pelican cases especially if you are use to soft cases, but the trade off is well worth it.

Use an electric carving knife to cut the foam.

Great case for transporting things that need to ride securely in your car, van or cargo hold. Cut out the inner foam and really provided a safe place for my valuables. handles are perfect. Latches have nice inner lock to prevent accidental opening. Wheels work great. Would be nice if the lock hole was steel wrapped but I can live with it.

Can't o wrong with Pelican. I own several sizes. Using them for many uears wuth ZERO breakage, leakage or issues.

This is a TOL case, and I buy these for all my firearms. They are extremely strong, fairly lightweight considering their material, and offer tons of protection for my rifle, pistol, and magazines for both. Note: You will need to custom cut the foam to fit, and it seems the best to use is a long razor blade cutter so that it comes out looking more professionally cut when done. Those blades however, are extremely dangerous to cut with though, so great caution must be used.

I bought this for one rifle. Good construction. My only complaint is that its very wide. I feel like you could stack a rifle on top of another in this case, if thats something you are looking for this is perfect for you, otherwise get the thinner Pelican 1700 which is just as tough.
