ROADIE Rock Box Pro Upgrade Kit for ION Rocker XBOX PS3

I was happy with this upgrade on my Ion Drum kit until I started to advance a bit. I found the bass pad will not register fast bass beats. I contacted Sigler Music and was advised that the bass input on the module itself is not set up to accept fast beats. Good thing I found this out before I ordered a dual bass pedal setup. There is a a work around where you swap the kick pad with another input, for example move pad to cymbal and cymbal to pad, and then reassign sounds. There are two drawbacks to this.. 1. Whatever you move to the bass input will not register fast hits. 2. Stereo separation will not be right. Bass will output dominantly from either Left or Right speakers or headphones depending on what you swapped it with. For example if you swapped it with ride you would now hear bass coming from the right speaker instead of stereo and the ride would now output stereo. To me its not a viable solution.There is also a solution you can purchase that kills two birds with one stone. The Roadie Kick Box RB will fix not only the bass pad register rate but will also allow you to use the kick pad and pedal with the game itself. I have not tested it myself but have watched a video review and it does seem to work well. It costs $40, which is not bad, but since the Roadie Rock Box Bass input is lacking (intentionally I believe), I do not fell one should have to buy extra parts to get something to work the way it should. Roadie should offer to fix the module itself so it registers the hits properly.

Its a fairly decent, cheaper alternative to the alesis DM5, plus it has an extra cymbal and kick drum with pedal n beater, which is fun to play with. only complaint is that the kick drum doesnt work with rock band and the ION pedal doesnt work as a bass pedal on the OSP drum brain, it does work as a hi hat pedal though, which is weird. all in all a good product.

this is good product i think this will make a nice addition to the collection turns into a regular drum kit
