Bloc Loc - Half Square Acrylic Triangle Ruler Set #6, 2.5"and 4.5"

This ruler makes it so much easier to square up quilting units like hst. I had a quilt pattern that required the units to be squared to 2 and 7/8 inches. The 4 1/2" ruler has clear markings, so it was easy to get the exact size.

I love these rulers. I now have several sizes and find them more accurate than the slotted trimmers for squaring up HSTs.

These are great for cutting out quilt squares, and this particular set of 2 is very handy. Not cheap, but worth the money.

Great tool to help square up blocks

I won't even tell you how badly I trimmed HST blocks before this gizmo. But. I hate the high cost. I have 3 sizes of the HST Bloc Loc and would buy the rulers for other types of blocks. It's just the cost that's so daunting. Still, you can get the results you need with these-- and you can whip out more blocks into your trimmed-up pile than with a regular ruler and your 45° line. And the plastic is rigid, so it's not going to warp like some quilting rulers. Use care with the rotary blade so you don't carve off the edge near the corner. Ask me how i know this. I damaged my Bloc Loc with a gazillion cuts made with a duller rotary blade and staying up late to finish trimming. I had no idea that I was creating HSTs with a slight curve on all 4 sides. Nothing dramatic when you make a large HST, but for 2" or similar sizes, that can affect your accuracy for joining them. The beauty of this channel isn't the only feature that's worth noting. The really ready to read markings on the HST rulers are far better than the non Bloc Loc rulers. I can see the corners and edges using these, where other rulers have so many markings that you can't make out the fabric edges underneath. So thank you to whoever designed these. I love you oodles more for that feature than just for your unique seam channel.

Best on the market. Buying it locally but when pandemic hit only place was Amazon to buy it. It is low dust, cleans and clumps with in seconds. Easy to sift. Perfect for my needs. Kitties will not use any other brand. Highly recommend for both price snd usage.

This makes my quilting easier and more accurate. Definitely worth the money.
