Aloha: What it means is that it is a combination of the two. Wool and Polyester. The Wool gives it a much better feel and shape and allows it to spring back if you will much better. The Polyester makes it easier to clean, at least that is what they claim and also help in shape Maintenace. I like the way that this fits on my head. The only fault that I have with this hat is that I like a broader brim. This one is more like the European style and tighter or smaller brim. It is a nice hat and fits well!
