Arrived today and immediately used - WOW! So glad I decided to get this - decision to get was based on the reviews of others comparing it to the cast iron models. I too had the cast iron and developed multiple problems - one was the part that cores the apples not staying in place with no way to make it tighter. This one is sharp and slices like a knife through butter. Even though it has no suction to hold in place, it did not move and has a quick and smooth operation while turning the handle. Immediately after using, I simply thoroughly rinsed under hot running water to clean - do not understand the reviews that say it is troublesome to clean.

Amazing, easy, simple and worked like a charm. One thing I will say, be aware that the "peeler & cutter" parts are VERY sharp. I grazed my thumb on it and it sliced me pretty good, in case you have children around who want to help. I wasn't sure about buying it, but for the cost I decided to try. So glad I did and so sorry I didn't buy this way earlier.

Listen, I’ve peeled apples the old-fashioned way for 42 years: knife in one hand, regret in the other, apple shavings in my hair, and at least one Band-Aid per Granny Smith. Then the PL8 Professional Apple Machine showed up with its smug little tilted base and suction-cup feet that grip the counter like a toddler who doesn’t want to leave Chuck E. Cheese.I clamped an apple in there, gave the crank one suspicious half-turn, and WHOOSH—perfect spiral peel flying off like it was late for a hot date. The core? Ejected with the cold efficiency of a bouncer tossing out a guy wearing flip-flops to a black-tie event. In ten seconds I had a naked apple so pristine it looked Photoshopped. I actually gasped. My dog thought I was dying and brought me his emotional-support squeaky taco.

This is the third apple peeler thing I have tried and finally found one that works! I freeze apples in large quantities in the summer and that will be the real test. However, having had bad luck with several brands, I bought this and an apple at the store and tried it before I left (I live 2 hrs from the store). And it worked! It was a pink lady apple. Most have more issues with softer apples. It is harder to clean than others--the part that takes the peel off was hard to get clean. A brush is a must.

The best design of this device by far!! We have had a few of the type with the suction cup and they typically slip from the surface while using. We have had the clamp version, which honestly never opens wide enough to clamp on to any surface in the kitchen! This version is light weight, easy to hold, remains secure and cuts, peels and cores perfectly!!

I have smaller green apples I needed to peel. The peeler did not work on them

This apple peeler corer slicer is so much easier to use than the suction or clamp type. Doesn’t slip around on the counter. Easy to clean. Works great! Definitely recommend!!

It worked well for 2 months then started to catch on the Apple and spin around and around on the same stop, digging into the apple. 1 month later the entire slicing piece at the front fell off. I wanted a dishwasher safe peeler but I’ll go back to my Pampered Chef. I’ll have to hand wash it but it lasted 15 years.

Worked very well all season no complaints easy to clean and fun to use.

Erstmal: Viel zu teuer für das was es ist! Die Verarbeitung wirkt ok, stinkt aber nach Sollbruchstellen. Außerdem zerreißt mir das Ding jedesmal meinen Apfel in der Mitte! Ich hatte vorher die klassische einfache Variante und war sehr zufrieden und habe den viel benutzt. Als der dann auseinander gefallen ist wollte ich einen hochwertigeren. Aber dieser ist definitv NICHT hochwertiger! Dafür aber viiiiel teurer!
