Unbelievable results! - update
The packaging was nothing fancy but the product itself is amazing. It smells like you could season chicken with it but the results make you look past the smell.I decided to use it on my hair when I got a sew in because I knew it would be in for a while. I created a thick consistancy using leave in, oil,and a good amount of the chebe powder and applied it to my cornrows. After about 4 weeks I'm noticing my braids are super loose and decide to remove the sew in. I didn't realize until I washed my hair but it had grown about 2 INCHES in 30 Days!!!Cons: the smell. It smells like it could be dinnerIt's also very messy during the application process and when you are taking your hair down the Chebe falls out and looks like dirt.I don't mind the mess. I have it in my hair currently. Next time I eill have before and after picsUPDATE!!I am still using the chebe with my protective styles only. Still mixing it with leave in and whatever my favorite oil is at the time.I am amazed by my results. initially I planned to use it until May ( my birthday month) in hopes of getting close to Bra Strap Length by May or by the end of Summer. Well I am already past Bra Strap Length. I cannot believe it . Ive been using it for about 4 months now. My new plan is to use it until its gone. I am pretty sure I can use it for at least 4 more protective styles. I'm so excited. I currently have a crochet in I will put up pics once I remove this.

This product is very messy
I would recommend washing your hair in a big sink can get a little messy but works beautifully and it’s worth every penny 10 out of 10 I would buy this product again

I 😍
I used this product a few times & I noticed that my hair is no longer shedding , it feels thicker & not so dry, which is what I expected. I mix 1~2 tablespoons into a conditioner, apply it to damp hair, cover with plastic for a few hrs, then shampoo thoroughly. I also apply product, twist hair & just leave it to air dry, keep it on for a day or two, then shampoo &. Condition….

Not a powder...
My package arrived fairly quickly. I ordered on a Tuesday evening, received my tracking info the following Wednesday, and had my package Saturday afternoon (I chose standard shipping).I will say that the reason I’m giving 3/5 is that I expected this to be powdery (since it’s called chebe powder). I’ve used bentonite and I’ve used rhassoul, both of which come in powder form and both of which turn into a paste when you add water (or apple cider vinegar as I do with both powders). That didn’t happen with the chebe.I tried it the first night by adding water (and some grapefruit essential oil because the chebe has a very nutty scent), and it didn’t turn into a paste. It remained quite grainy. I soldiered through and put the mix in each twist. I thought that the next morning maybe I’d pulse the chebe in the Ninja I have specifically for making hair and body butters, thinking I could break down the grains further. Nope. I did a super small text mixture with water and the water simply could not penetrate the grains. Then I decided to try avocado oil because the chebe video on YouTube mentioned that Chadian women use cow fat; I figured avocado is also a fatty oil so why not.As you see in the third photo, the chebe doesn’t become paste-like at all. Now I have this grainy mix in my twists. I figure I’ll have to treat this like a deep conditioner, keeping it in my hair for a couple hours before rinsing out. I can’t walk around with what looks like sand in my hair.I’ll monitor the hair growth and in a couple months time perhaps amend my rating to a 4/5, depending. But I cannot, in good conscience, rate this 5/5.

Just Horrible! Wish I Stuck to Cantu Products
Incredibly disappointed!! My hair was in an absolutely healthy state prior to this "chebe" powder. I followed the Chadian hair routine, i.e. karkar oil, shea butter etc.... and when I gave my hair a wash after 3 weeks (couldn't keep it in any longer- needed my hair to feel clean), as I ran my fingers through my hair, a lot of my hair fell out (I have type 4 hair). My hair felt very dry, and was tangled.I did NOT put the powder on my scalp. I made sure I did my research & followed each step. This is either a fraud batch (that comes in the same ziploc bag I have in my kitchen, like, what's up with that?!) or it's just not for me. I'm completely disappointed. Wasted cash over this, should've just stuck with Cantu. Too often businesses capitalize on Black women's hair desires, I hope this isn't the case, but I wanted to like this so bad; unfortunately, it ruined my healthy hair journey.

5 stars
First day using the product as a hair treatment 3/12/19 .I mixed it with coconut oil. I heated the coconut oil in the microwave (hot) then mixed the chebe powder in it Until i got a good sort of thick mix. I parted my hair rubbing each section scalp to root with it. left it on as directed for 2-3 hours then followed up by washing my hair with shampoo 2xs rubbing my scalp /massaging it.. then conditioned it.. to remove the excess of tiny seeds that the mix leaves off my hair... i let it air dry (i don't use heat on my hair) and brushed my hair ...Let me tell you this product i can see will work out well. The only thing I'm not fond of is its smell... smells like maybe weed...and so i wouldn't recommend atleast with this product to leave it on your scalp for a day or two. Use it as a treatment to then wash off. Your hair will not retain its smell after being washed. After washing etc ..conditioning... Without adding any products to moisturize my hair after the wash, my hair was already soft and no breakage as i comb through it.I will continue its usage to keep up with my growth.
