The partial inset worked out perfectly for the cabinet doors I made! I did find that I had to make some adjustments once I actually attached them, though. They seemed fine in a dry fit, but once they were actually screwed in to both the cabinet and the doors, they pushed both cabinet doors farther in toward each other enough that they no longer closed. I had to shave some extra width off the center edge of each door. Fortunately this wasn't a situation where that caused a big problem. It just meant I had to take the time to repaint that edge.

After 30+ years we redid our kitchen cupboards and had to replace all the hinges. These looked exactly like what we had but not quite. They are not all the same. Some are crooked and bent. It was a bigger job to get the hinges to work properly then it was to paint the whole kitchen and that's sayin something!
