It's a cheap way to get crystalline silver which is in theory more potent than other silver dressing types but it did not appear to have the desired effect in the wound I was treating although that could have been due to other factors! It is thin and not for absorbing fluids so you will need other products as well for packing and absorption if you are dealing with cavities.
