Replaced original filter with this one. Original lasted a couple years before mesh broke. This new one should also last several years.

I love these for what they do—less consumable costs means I can buy fancier coffee. I’ve been using it for quite a while, banging on the sides daily to get the stuck coffee out of the filter and it’s held up an absolute treat…the filter that gave out on me did last me a good eight years, but I hope for the same from this guy. My only caveat for people who are making the switch from paper filters is that, depending on your grind, may allow a minimal amount of scum to form in the last dregs of your coffee. For me, I don’t mind it at all…I usually like to leave the last sip in the cup anyway so it doesn’t dry to the bottom of the cup. The scum texture is drinkable, but it gets stuck in my throat. Great filter though!

​He probado este filtro de tono dorado en mi Cuisinart DCC-1850 y la construcción de la malla es de primer nivel. Sin embargo, le doy 4 estrellas debido a un detalle importante en su rendimiento: el filtro funciona de manera impecable cuando preparo 8 tazas o menos. Como me gusta el café puro y con cuerpo, utilizo la medida de una cucharada de café por cada taza; el problema surge al intentar hacer de 10 a 12 tazas. En ese punto, el nivel de café molido y agua parece saturar el filtro, provocando que parte del sedimento (el afrecho) se pase a la jarra, dejando residuos en la taza. ​Para quienes preparan cantidades moderadas de café, es una opción de "bajo precio y detalle alto", ya que la malla fina permite que pasen los aceites naturales del grano, mejorando el sabor frente al papel. Es muy fácil de lavar y se siente tan robusto como el original de fábrica. En conclusión, es un repuesto excelente por su durabilidad y ahorro ecológico, siempre y cuando no necesites llenar la cafetera a su máxima capacidad con una carga fuerte de café. Si buscas un filtrado totalmente limpio en tandas de 12 tazas, este límite es algo a tener en cuenta.
