Works like a charm.
The remote didn't come with any directions. So being used to "plug and play" stuff, I just put new batteries in the new remote and without turning Panasonic DVD player on, I pointed it to the player and pressed the RED Power button on the remote. The player displayed the phrase "Set 3".So going back to the old adage "when all fails, read the directions!" I hit the Google search and found out:1. Turn the DVD Player on;2. Press 3 and OK buttons (on the new remote) simultaneously while pointing it to the player for 3 to 5 seconds.Then I pressed the RED Power button on the remote and the DVD turned off. Eureka!I categorize this as a piece-a-cake.

My old remote control pretty much stopped working. I tried various web suggestions to coax it back to life but none worked & I wondered if the problem was with blu ray player & not the remote. But new remote works fine!

Item is as described. Lost my remote and the name brand replacement was not only 3 times as expensive, but it was out of stock! Glad I purchased this item.

Would not control or work for our Panasonic DMP-BDT220 Blu Ray player (2012) at all. Tried it with our other Panasonic Blu Ray player and it would not work with it either. Will have to return. Cannot recommend this remote.
