If you’re reading this review, it’s probably because your loved one is dealing with colic. Let me start by saying Colic really, really, reallly sucks. Our son (who is now 2 years old) was colicky and would hardly ever sleep on his back even during the day. He had bad reflux and struggled to gain weight since he was spitting up so much. We tried pepcid at the recommendation of a pediatric GI and he still didn’t sleep great and we think it led to his weight percentile dropping off a cliff (his weight percentile went back up after we stopped). With our second child, who is now one month old, we promised ourselves we wouldn’t put her through the same misery our son went through. When she started showing the same signs of colic our son had (didn’t want to be on her back, would cry nonstop from 8PM - 1AM, poops would be a struggle and kinda green), I knew we had try something. I did a ton of research, we started expensive probiotics like Evivo ($250 and was very bad for us) and got our breast milk tested by Lactation Lab ($100, highly recommend). It turns out, our breast milk was pretty high in lactose and slightly low in fat. I suspected our daughter was suffering from lactose overload The active ingredient in Colief? Yep, lactase. It was no surprise within 2 days of starting Colief (4 drops each feeding), she actually slept through her daily ‘witching hour’. To be fair, not every night is perfect but the baseline is soooo much better than before. She is currently sleeping next to me as I wrote this review (it’s been 4 hours), and her weight is gain has been above average. She sleeps so well that we’ve had to wake her up to feed after 5 hours sometimes. TLDR; get breast milk tested for lactose. if it’s above normal, Colief just might do the trick. If you’re on formula, worth trying since most formulas have lactose.

If you’re dealing with colic you probably need this. My daughter would not sleep longer than 30 mins and would scream when she was awake. We tried everything: swaddling, gripe water, probiotics, the windis, massaging, reflexology, different burping techniques, gas drops, etc! Nothing worked! My husband and I were so stressed we were fighting constantly, my baby blues was extremely intensified I would cry constantly. I started researching and thought my breastfed baby might have a intolerance to lactose (no matter if you consume dairy or not there’s still lactose in breast milk). All the symptoms lined up so I said why not try it, the first night she slept 3 consecutive hours and it felt like a miracle. We are on day 4 and I am thanking the lord above for this product because it saved my sanity and allowed me to sleep and actually bond better with my baby. She’s not in pain anymore. She still has a few moments when she’s fussy but it’s decreased by 95% so that’s a WIN. Also when they have lactose intolerance they might have a diaper rash that seems impossible to rid of due to the acidic nature of the poo and my little one had it we changed her constantly and it was not going anywhere! Since we started these drops it’s made her poo less acidic and the rash is gone! Idk why this isn’t talked about more amoung moms or drs or even social media.

We were looking for a different approach for my kid's crying, he was having a lot of gas. Burping ,flatulence, painful gases stuck in the lower abdomen. We found Colief reduced this greatly. We started realizing that it was the lactose in the formula and in the breast milk that was upseting him. Colief breaks down the lactose and allows my boy to digest lactose, and not let it spoil and ferment inside my son which produced in him painful gases. This didn't me surprise as my wife and I are both to a degree lactose intolerant. We both drink lactose free milk because we both get pretty gassy with regular milk. We try not to use Colief too much only because my son needs to be exposed to lactose in order for his body to produce his own lactase enzymes. We currently use it only when his gases get real bad and he cant sleep. My wife and I have done this and it seems to have worked for our son: 1)Baby Formula Changed from Enfamil NeuroPro to Enfamil NeuroPro Gentlease(Has Less Lactose Derivatives) 2) Started him on Colief 3) Mom breast feeds him from 5am until 6pm and feeds him NeuroPro Gentlease formula from 6pm until 5am. This has worked for us. My boy sleeps better and so do we.

This item is listed incorrectly with an incorrect description and incorrectly priced. The 3 pack is NOT 1.5 oz/15 ml per bottle, those are the 7 ml bottles. I purchased it around 8 times for my twins thinking it was the 1.5 oz as listed in the description. The picture shows 7 ml though and that's what you actually receive. So it is cheaper and lasts longer if you just purchase the 1.5 oz individually rather than the 3 pack which has you pay more for less.

This is AMAZING for relief!

Did not work for my baby. Tried twice but did not make the gassy go away. It worked well for my friend. I guess it is just a case by case issue.

My lactation consultant suggested these drops because I have a fast let down and a large volume of milk, which means that sometimes my baby gets a lot of foremilk, which moves through the digestive system quickly, as it is thin, and the body can't always make enough enzymes to digest it in time. I bought the drops, gave it a try and after a while decided to back off, in case it was just snake oil! Within a day, my sweet baby was fussy, not sleeping well and overall so unhappy. My husband kept saying, it's his stomach... Did you try something new? Eat a food you haven't had in a while? That's when I realized that I had phased him off the drops and it made all the difference. This is my third child and wished I had known about these drops with my first two. We keep the droppers everywhere, in the diaper bag, in the nursery, I even tuck the bottle into my bra when we are out and about. I squirt 4 drops directly into his mouth (I do not do as the directions advise, which is to express milk, stir in drops, then spoon feed the baby the blend... That would be insanely difficult to maneuver with a hungry, crying baby in your arms). I also do not refrigerate, but don't leave it exposed to excessive heat, and it works well every time. This is such an amazing product. Thank you!

*I'm writing a review from my husband's accound* Buy these and try them!!! You will see instant (first feed/less than 24 hours) results for breastfed lactose sensitive babies!!! I have had to use these drops now for the second time with my newborns. I exclusively breastfeed on demand and I mix the drops with pumped milk prior to every feed. Yes, this can be annoying but for the babies comfort its worth it. From the first feeding and throughout the day I could tell a HUGE difference in my newborn. My newborn was allowing me to put her down, not be so fussy, sleep longer stretches, not have so many loose stools daily, and her bloating went down. Prior to this I was giving gas drops every 2 hours, gripe water, gerber probiotics(still do these), and the windi. I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT MORE!

For my boy who is 4 weeks old is very good. Thanks God that I find , help him very much to release the gas and he is feeling more more good.
