Best bet for your money.
These socks are great. I work on my feet. I used to work through the pain and ignore the swelling. Now my days are much more enjoyable and the swelling is not an issue. Yes, they are hard to put on and it does take practice to get it right. It is not supposed to be easy. These are not normal socks. Graduated compression means that the strongest compression is at the ankle and it gets weaker from there on up. That is how they work, and they do work! For the first week or two I had the heel way up above my ankle and the socks seemed to be about four inches too long. That is because I was pulling them up incorrectly. You can't just grab these socks by the top and pull them on. Follow the instructions on the package and practice, and be patient. You will get it. I actually discovered that I prefer it when they are pulled up just a *little* too far as the compression seems to be tighter that way. I just fold the excess down into a cuff below the knee. By the way, my calves are 16.5" in circumference and my legs are about 17" from the floor up to the bend of my knee. I ordered the Large and they are a great fit. I am a weightlifter, so my calves are much larger than my ankles, but I still get plenty of compression at the ankle. I have lymphedema from a car wreck years ago, and these socks really help to control the swelling in my feet and ankles. If you have lymphedema there is no cure, only therapy, and these socks were exactly the therapy I needed. If I am on my feet for more than a few hours in a day I often add an ace bandage on the leg that needs the most attention. That completely controls the swelling. I only mention all this because 20-30 mm/Hg is an orthopedic level of compression, so I hope other shoppers might find these details to be helpful.

Have been wearing these socks for years!
I have been wearing these socks for years due to DVTs that I got in one of my legs in 2013. I make a point of wearing them at work, when traveling, and even when running (5Ks and 10Ks). I sit all day at work in front of a computer, 8 to 10 hours and I wear them religiously. I love road trips and my drives are 6 to 12 hours. I wear them when I fly. I love to run and I try to wear them when running but not all the time. I usually do not wear them at other times, i.e. sitting around the house. These are the only brand of compression socks I have ever tried so I cannot say how they compare to others. When I got my first pair I struggled to get them on. It seemed nearly impossible and I wondered how people do it. Now, I do not think about it. They did take some getting used to, but now I wear them like any other socks and I do not think about them being any different. I am still using my first pair after six years, so they do hold up if you take care of them. That first pair does not seem quite as tight as the newer pairs purchased recently, but sometimes that is a good thing when I am not feeling like wearing socks that are quite so tight. Your experience might be different, but I would definitely give them a try.

Most Excellent!
I do long distance motorcycle travel and started experiencing lower leg swelling. Pretty much had Popeye looking lower legs. I bought a pair of these at Walgreens a decade ago for $38 to see if they would resolve my leg swelling. They worked great and not only found that they resolved my leg swelling but also kept my feet much cooler in my motorcycle boots than regular socks. I wanted another pair as 10 years of use they are near worn out but had no idea of the brand. I was fortunate enough to find an old photo with the package. I guess I took it for memory sake. I was glad to see the same socks for a much lower price! Additional benefits I found that traveling and camping when I wash these socks they dry out quickly for a no stink riding day. A must have for any kind of travel IMO.

Misleading sizing chart!
The product listing shows a sizing chart based on calf circumference and distance from floor to knee. Based on this I was right on the border of medium and large, so I ordered one of each. Finally when they arrived they have a second chart on the packaging that says anyone over size 12 should get extra large! I am 14 so I would need an extra large despite the chart telling me that I should be fine with a medium. They need to fix their product page and include both charts. This is ridiculous. It just wastes time and creates more returns. Anyway the large are nearly impossible to get on, but once I have got them on 5 minutes later, after two or three attempts and a myriad of curse words, they actually feel pretty good, they are not too tight. So if not for that critical omission on the product page, I would have rated them five stars. But overall they do their job well, and keep swelling down to a minimum.

Great Compression Socks!
Dr. Recommended these compression socks for my dad 10+ years ago. He has poor circulation and leg swelling. He has been buying these socks for over 10 years and could only find them at CVS for $32 a pair. Amazon is amazing and has the exact compression socks for $8.99. I feel so bad that's he's been over paying for years. I just bought him 12 pairs for Father's day and I've never seen him so excited!

Long lasting and probably best
Wearing these 20-30 compression socks for about 5 years. They are long lasting even after washing in washing machine. Easy to put on and remove. I am buying new socks to compare to old socks effectiveness I am using them for venous deficiency in leg.

Works Well for Edema
I work in a casual dress office, and most compression socks or hose tend to look like something my grandmother would wear. I have had to wear compression hose since my early 30's, and honestly, because of the "style", I do not wear them as often as I should. I decided to try Futuro's Restoring Socks for Men. They work great, and instead of being $30-$50, they are $10. For that, I can practically replace my old compression hose collection! My ankles and legs get really swollen as the day progresses, but after a day of wearing these socks, they still look normal when I take them off. They do not squeeze too tightly and they breathe. I have to be honest -- I need my donning gloves to get them on. I can't just pull them up like a regular sock, they way I could with my older hose. But they do the job they are suppose to, and they don't cut off my circulation or leave red marks in my legs, so I will gladly take the effort to put on the gloves for the minute or two it takes to get the socks on. These do not go by shoe size, but by leg mesasurments, and by using the chart on the back, I was borderline Medium/Large. I got the medium, and they fit great. They do require hand drying, but I wash them in a knitted bag with my bras, hang them to dry and they are good to go. I would highly recommend these socks, especially if you are a women looking for something that is more like a "normal" sock!

Furuto 20-30mmhg compression socks
I recently found myself in need of compression socks to help with superficial thrombophlebitis associated with varicose veins on my lower leg. That being said, since I am not familiar with brands or quality of compression socks, I purchased 20-30mmhg socks from a few different brands, including getting a pair from a local medical supply shop. From those I purchased through Amazon, I find myself liking Furuto's the best. In spite of being constantly worn, they have not stretched out at all. Another that I had purchased was from Absolute Support, which cost a bit more than these, yet they only lasted a week before becoming unusable from stretching. That being said, I hand wash all the socks to keep from damaging the elastic material in the washer/dryer. I do like the Jobst socks I got from the medical supply store, but the high cost makes me weary about using them a lot and having to replace them quickly. For me it feels as if the Jobst provides a tighter compression, even as they have the same compression rating as the Futuro. My compromise is that I wear the Futuro while at home or shopping, and save the Jobst for when I work. I will be ordering more of these for sure as their benefit cannot be denied and they are holding up well to constant use.
