Beautiful writing. And good delivery
"White Nights" is a short but memorable story about loneliness, dreams, and unexpected connections. Dostoevsky captures those fragile, hopeful feelings so well. A quick and poignant read highly recommend.Packaged really well no dents or creases. The book itself came in great, clean cover and pages. Quick delivery too. This is my 7th penguin classic book and first dostoyevsky book and this one is worth every rupee.

Beautiful book
White nights is a classic fiction book of around 120 pages. The book is totally based love and loneliness.I will be honest in saying that I purchased this book after watching this book all over bookstagram. After reading this book, I understood the hype. The book is full of emotions and you will feel like you are watching a movie. This is my first book of Fyodor and the writing style is amazing! For me, the first half of the book was too good and full of emotions whereas I felt some extra slowness in second half , I know classics are slow but still this was bit too much for me, lol . No doubt , while reading the book I felt like how beautifully someone can write about a boy’s feelings and the person who went through all of these things will relate a lot. The story is all about love, loneliness, feeling when you find a love for the first time, when you are new in a city and knew no one, etc. You need to read the story to actually feel the essence of it.I had a smile on my face after completing the book, though it was bit heartbreaking to read but the way all emotions were portrayed were so beautiful. Anyone who is beginner in classics can read it. It contains some tough words in starting so a person who is a beginner might need to take out dictionary. Anyone can give this book a try!

This book is beautiful beyond words 🍁
Book Name- “White Nights” 🤍🩶🖤Author- Fyodor DostoyevskyPublisher- @penguinclassicsGenre- Classic fictionPages- 128“That’s just what needs to be done, to listen everywhere and not just in one part, in order to come to an understanding.”🍁This book is just so beautiful beyond words. Recently I heard lot of readers talking about this book and immediately I thought to grab this one and I can say that I have done a great job by doing so because a reader definitely need to read this book for a beautiful story. Along with “White Nights”, there is also another story, “Bobok” that I enjoyed. This is the MOST romantic book I’ve ever read and I’ve devoured it so fast! I didn’t saw the time past, I was immerse at the sentiments of the main character that when I stop reading I’ve reached the end. White Nights and Bobok, are the two short stories that typify Dostoyevsky’s complexity. Here, we have as narrator a lonely man who thinks he is going to win the hand of a young woman he meets by chance because she appears vulnerable and in need of his manly wisdom and understanding, only to find that she’s in love with another man. What a shock that is for the narrator. And it’s an even bigger shock when the man she loves reappears and off she goes, leaving the narrator to contemplate a life of utter loneliness and despair. So what? You might ask. But this story was written in 1848 when Dostoyevsky was just 27. It was written at a time when men were supposed to go out into the world, thrusting their way, making something of themselves with their womenfolk trailing obediently behind them. In the Victorian era real men were not supposed to be lonely, isolated, timid, shy, and acting as though their whole reason for being was dependent on the whims of a young woman. Cracking stuff. And in Bobok we have voices from the grave and there’s not much to look forward to! According to Dostoyevsky the after life is going to be as full of hypocrisy, petty jealousies, resentments and spite as this life. If you think Dostoyevsky isn’t worth reading because of his race and gender, then give this selection a try.Review- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

An absolutely glorious experience!
This had been on my TBR for quite a while, and I finally got around to reading it. And what a glorious experience that was! This, for me, was Dostoevsky at his lyrical best. The wonderful prose, the gorgeous scenery in which the story is set, and the heartachingly beautiful depictions of melancholy, loneliness and pain that comes along with- all of it make it a stunning piece of art.I don't think that this a love story- it more of a deep introspection of the human psyche, and for which I shall be eternally grateful. As one of the characters says, "But how could you live and have no story to tell?", and truly what a story this was!
