Surprised in a Good Way
I started talking this probiotic after the other company I was using was inconsistently in stock. I’ve read that this particular strain is good for IBS with diarrhea. I am pleased to report that these are cheaper and have worked just as well, if not better than the other brand of this strain. Highly recommended.

Works Great
I began using this product on the advise of a chiropractor to help with lower abdominal irritation, bloating and constipation. I have experienced relief from all three while using this product. So grateful I heard about it.

Kind of like other supplements.
Medical research literature identifies this as a helpful probiotic, but it's hard to tell if it significantly contributed to improvement. At least, it did no harm.

Get Goodbelly Instead
These are absolutely not active lactobacilli, at least not from any of the bottles I received. There are two possible reasons for this outcome: Amazon's warehouses are so inhumanely hot in the continental US that the lactobacilli are no longer viable, or Swanson is knowingly selling a useless product that's actually purely rice starch. Because I make my own lactoferments an isolated strain of l.plantarum in capsule form, I know exactly what to expect. These are simply garbage. Goodbelly is very reliable (and is 100% l.plantarum), and so is Jarrow. Both companies products are more expensive, but I can guarantee they're better. So, back to the above: I'm pretty sure we aren't dealing with the Warehouse problem. My Goodbelly and Jarrow always ship from Amazon and are always totally fine. I've even abused Goodbelly capsules myself (which also happen to come in a metal tin) leaving them outside in Texas heat for days, and they were STILL viable. So, yeh, get another brand. Swanson sucks.
