Uegaki Kaki No Tane (Rice Cracker) 4.5oz (4 Pack)

I LOVE these chili crackers, but they are hard to find in regular stores and pretty expensive if you do. We were having to go to Asian stores in Orlando, which is about an hour away. Then even these stores were often out of stock. Amazon to the rescue! Bought a 4 pack, lasts me quite a long time and stays fresh in the unopened bag for months. Re-sealed properly, stays fresh after opened, too. My favorite kind has peanuts in with the crackers, but they are still harder to find. Decent price on Amazon.

So many of the Japanese arare/senbei ricecracker companies went out of business in the last few years, the ones who produced the great tasting crackers...before I knew it the selection at the store disappeared (had I known I would’ve bought and squirreled away a supply!). I thought I’d try these out - so happy I did. They are very flavorful with just a little heat and the price isn’t too bad. I poured the 4 bags into a jar and will portion them out as a daily treat - perfect with my afternoon dirty soda! These are so much better than what you find in your local grocery (bland & flavorless). I’m placing another order right now to send to my sister. I’ll be back for more - thank you!

The flavor and texture is not there yet compared to good kakinotane. The aroma of soy sauce when you put it in your mouth is not quite there. For the flavor and texture, I give 3 stars.considering how cheap they are, I give 4 stars overall.

My favorite Japanese arare crackers for munching! Crunchy, a bit of heat, snack heaven. A bit on the salty side, so portion management is good though not easy. Will order again.
