Comfortable, watertight, thick sole, 5 star
I have found these to be as comfortable as the £100+ neoprene wellingtons for a fraction of the price, the steel toe adds extra safety and they are wide at the calf if you are wearing over work pants. Thick sole makes walking over rubble comfortable and in cold weather helps keep your feet warm.

Waterproof, tough, rubbish insoles
I like these boots and I'm on my second pair, they are waterproof and tough and everything you'd want from wellies with toecaps, very good. Small complaint, which is why I'm writing this review really, had to tell someone - the soles are rubbish. The sole came out in the first hour of my workday, and I put them on new this morning. And what is under the sole is those little rubber dots. They'll put a hole in your socks. So after one days work in my new boots I am down a pair of socks, and I'm going to have to buy some insoles, because my boots are sock breakers. This is not good, whatever glue you used to stick the soles in may as well not be there, if it's going to melt at body temperature. I remember my first pair did this too, I bought some insoles and got 2 years out of the boots, so, not bad, but I remember buying insoles within a day or two last time. JCB, consider using better glue. Customer, stick some insoles and some super glue in your basket, as well. The pics I included are the sock breaking rubber dots, and the useless glue on the bottom of the soles

Decent enough for short term use.
Decent but broke after 2 months of solid use on the farm. They were comfy. Great value for money. Waterproof until they ripped on the top of the foot. Look nice however they were quite cold.

Sturdy
Good sturdy rubber boots. I bought them in my size, but they are too big. Better than being too small. I can take them off easily.

Toecap protection sticks into my toes
Left boot, the toecap protector is quite rough and protrudes into the boot on the 'big toe' side. It will rub my toe sore, even with thick socks on. I have a pair of these boots already that don't have this problem, so its either a manufacturing defect or poor quality control. (I've had my old JCB wellies for 6yrs, never had any problems with rubbing my toes, but the right boot has sprung a leak so my foot gets wet when walking in the rain. Since I had good experience with exactly these boots I thought I'd buy a new pair). Returned for refund, but now debating whether to try ordering the same ones again and hope they're better, or go for a different brand. ** Update 24th October 2025 ** Took a chance and re-ordered the same boots, hoping the problem was just a one off. Nope. New pair arrived, same problem but this time in the right boot. The toecap is rough and sticks into the inside of the boot. I tried it on and it was immediately very uncomfortable against my toes. It will rub my toes sore even with thick socks on. Returning for the second time. Very disappointed. The exact same pair of JCB wellies I've had for the past 6yrs are totally smooth on the inside of the toecap. I can only think that JCB quality has declined in the past 6yrs. I will be trying a different brand now.
