Braun BG5030 Body Trimmer

Excellent body trimmer, as one may expect from Braun! I say this after trying a few others, which were admittedly cheaper. The small gap between the cutting teeth is a godsend as it ensures a cut free trimming experience, even on the very sensitive areas (read groin). Battery last quite long; I personally usually only have to recharge once a month. Could not recommend this more!

I bought this to trim body hair and to use it in the shower. It does a sterling job. However my thought was to use the plastic grade attachment (for lack of knowing what else to call it right now) in the shower! Unfortunately one of the first things I read in the manual was to "not" use the trimer with the attachment in the shower. I tired anyway, the hair gets stuck and you have to remove the attachment to clean it and then out it back on. Annoying! I still use it, thus the 4 stars, if you need a body trimmer this works well, it's good for use in the shower without any attachments on, if you want to use the attachment you can, just do it before turning on the shower!

OK body trimmer, it requires a lot of effort to trim certain areas and some of the combs don’t work very well with the trimmer - mainly the longer comb doesn’t do a very good job. Also doesn’t work very well when the body is wet.

THIS is absolute grooming fantasy,trimming heaven. One of the products you will never regret buying. I bought first one in 2008 and it is still working and bought another one recently just to have it. Simply German precision. BMW in grooming.

I previously used a iStubble on my legs, it had a large surface area it cut through hair fairly efficiently and did the job needed. This recently broke so I attempted a product more suited for body hair and in comes the Braun Body Trimmer.I had high hopes for the device. The reviews were overly positive and the review indicating my scrotal region would remain intact made it sound like the perfect product, unfortunately this wasn't the case. The device itself feels reasonably robust to hold and for £30 it seemed like a good investment.Before starting be aware the 14 hours charge for 50 minutes use is fairly accurate and this alone is pretty much a killer for me when you tie it in with performance. Many other device charge for about an hour and provide similar cutting times so why did someone opt for a 14 hour charge cycle?!Now onto usage, it's extremely quiet which is great. Performance, not such an optimistic outlook I'm afraid.I attempted to shave my legs with the sensitive (0.6mm) attachment. I haven't shaved my legs in a few weeks so the hair is a couple of cm long at best. Did it cut it you're asking...kind of. Anything from 6-12 strokes in the same patch at various speeds and the hair will cut, tie this in with doing both legs and you'll be lucky to finish before the device runs out of juice and you're standing naked with one hairy leg and one stubbly leg contemplating where you went wrong in life. Normally chargers can be used whilst plugged in so no huge issue however this device is wireless only so HUGE issue.Whilst shaving you'll also have to turn the device off every 5 minutes to remove hair from the device which is also a pain as the guard is a tiny bit fiddly to snap on and off.At this point I'm stuck with one shaved leg and one unshaved and you're here reading and thinking this guy must be like a gorilla, 6-12 strokes to shave a section, that's ridiculous. After debating whether or not I may have been bitten by a radioactive spider and developed steel like hair over the past two weeks and feeling a bit silly with one shaved leg I attempted used my new facial trimmer on my legs. 1-2 strokes in a patch and the hair was gone. So sadly, I still just have normal hair and a terribly ineffective razor.Having looked over the razor the gel pad at the top is half gone already purely from using the inbuilt razor. This is due to a minor design flaw where the retracting blade doesn't go down far enough on the back of the device. It is out of the way enough to never be able to cut you however the gel pad will still scrape against your skin so by the time I get to using the razor I'll be forced to bin it and use a fresh blade.Would I recommend this product. Only if you shave almost daily then it might suit your needs, if you shave weekly or every so often then this product wont be suitable as it's not up to the jobMy advice to buyers: spend an extra £10 and buy a face trimmer with adjustable height with a shorter recharge cycle and a pack of razors, it's a better invest ment.My advice to the manufacturer: in redesigning the wheel you made yourselves a square, adjust the back to make the razor retract further down into the base of the device, increase the cutting area, use larger blades built into the device, use bigger batteries, redesign the comb to be easier to remove/flick up, change the charger to a USB and supply a USB to shaving charger adaptor.1/5: It's going in the bin.

I have gave this product a 2 star because it came on time but its not really that good yes it works but sometime it catches the skin and makes you bleed

This is a really handy body groomer. I haven't made use of the razor much yet but the trimmer is great. It has a small head which makes it perfect for getting into all the nooks and cranny's. Would definitely recommend.

Great easy to use trimmer works really well all over. Really happy with this.
