Q: What is the grommet size? i intend to use 12/3 sjtw cord.

I am not sure on the extact size of the grommet, but the 12/3 sjtw cord should fit no problem.

Q: Would 10 AWG fit in this?

I don’t believe it would the opening and screws contacts seem too small, but haven’t tried it. If you are using 10 AWG the amperage of this device may also be too high. This works for 15amp circuit. Maybe a GFCI (0utdoor) mounted in a watertight box and an outdoor in-use water tight cover would work better.

Q: will this work as an inline on/off switch for my prressure washer? the pressure washer switch failed and is obsolete [Karcher]?.

You could but I’d think it would be better to get another inline switch and wire this GFCI between the plug and the switch. This way you’d have a real switch and be protected with a GFCI.

It works as a GFCI. You can use it to provide protection for your lighting, but not as a switch.

So Far So Good

I ordered this In-Line GFCI unit to replace a GFCI that went bad on my pressure washer. It was shipped in a timely manner and was easy to install. The unit itself is not too large which is ideal for where this sits at the end of a power cable for a tool. I haven't used the pressure washer much since I replaced it, but I did confirm that the unit was working.

Not Waterproof.

Will work for what I want. I most definitely not waterproof though! Can be made waterproof with a little modification.

Poorly made product that leaks & is very difficult to assemble

Screws were very poor quality & made it hard to assemble. When it was put together, it still had cracks in the unit that allowed water to come in first rain and stopped working.
