Die Hard Fans of the TV Show will appreciate this book
The Book cleverly elaborates on the Original TV Show, under the auspices of a Scrap-Book compiled by one of the residents. This Framing Device allows for an insight into the bizarre world that exists in the Town of Royston Vasey. (Roy "Chubby" Brown - plays the foul-mouthed Mayor of the Town that carries his real name). I suspect that Die Hard Fans of the Show will find this book very entertaining. To the outsider (Or, if you are not a Local Person), the material may seem disturbing and unnerving. The Original Radio Version of the Show offers a much more subdued introduction to the characters and may be a much better place to start.

Are You Local?
Are you local, have you come to buy our precious things? Now then, now then, we will have no trouble here Tubs. They are all here, all the crazy cast of local people from Pauline thwarting the job seekers and not allowing anybody a pen to sinister Auntie Val with the toads. One fears for the imaginations that can conjure up such strange beings... are these people being helped one wonders. I think we should be told. The scariest of them all is Pops, who is so abusive to his children, chaining them to him in love. They hate him with a deep and abiding passion, I read this with all the lights on and only when I know I am not alone in the house.
