This sporty flip flop offers technical features, like a 360-degree heel airbag, plus fun features like a bottle opener on the outsole. Reef is surf. They're inspired by water, by the ocean, by perfect waves, and the journey along the way to find them. They are a genuine, global surf brand that harvests the best of the lifestyle and shares it through authentic, innovative and fashionable product. At the core of Reef is their Latin roots and the inherent sensuality of the beach. The Reef team is committed to having fun in and out of the water, as well as giving back to the world that inspires them. Review: King of Sandals - Reef's Fanning line is easily the most comfortable and active-friendly flipflop out there. This is my third pair in roughly six years, the previous ones lasting me about three years each. I'm sure I would have gotten even longer out of them if I didn't wear them every day from April through October and put them to work as hard as I do. These are on my feet when I'm out and about, doing yard work, hitting the beach, hiking, you name it... I have super flat feet and these are perfectly comfortable since they don't have as pronounced an arch as many other sandals out there. They do run a tad large; I usually wear a 10 or 9.5, but the 9 here fits just right. Don't hesitate to get these, especially when they go for half of retail - it's a no-brainer! Review: comfy and relatively durable, lasted me a year. - Growing up i lived on a ski resort called Alta and when I wasn't skiing flip flops were my shoe of choice. Since then I have continued to wear flip flops year round through rain and snow. With my abusive use of flip flops combined with being 6' 4 215lbs and size 13 feet made of sandpaper, I've never been able to find a pair that have lasted me more than a few months. Its just a matter of time before either the sole separates from the rest of the shoe, or my feet saw right through the toe piece. These shoes however, not only comfortable, lasted me almost a full year! The sole remained completely intact all the way to their there last day, however my feet eventually wore out and ripped the toe pieces on both shoes. Nonetheless, the durability of these allowed them to last over twice as long as any other flips that I've tried. As far as comfort, they are also the most comfortable flips that I've worn and remain comfortable due to the cushioned heal and the arch support the shape of the flop provides. Overall very satisfied but will continue to look for something with a diamond bit toe piece.

Most comfy Flip Flop I've owned
Living in San Diego I've worn my fair share of flip flops/sandals. Using I don't splurge and go this expensive but thanks to that thing called age it was time for something with a little more cushion. I got the black/plaid since that went well with my overall color scheme and really like the pattern. There's enough color to make them pop but not so much it draws attention to your feet. My only complaint is that the length is fine, the strap is just a little too snug. It eventually stretches out and they're fine, but it takes a few minutes for the material to stretch out. I hover in the 12-13 range with most shoes and like I said, the length is great, I just wish there was a little more room where the strap is. Or I just have to lose some weight in my feet. Just keep that in mind if you usually go with a wider shoe size, might be worth it to go a size larger. Other than that, they're awesome!

Good product.
I can't speak to extended wear, but they are perfectly comfortable around the house. They feel very durable although they are much stiffer than other similar sandals I have had in the past. That is the only thing that makes me think they may not be comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I usually wear a 9.5 and the 9 fit fine. I would say size down instead of up if you are a half size.

For me, PERFECT!
I haven't come close to trying all the "flips" available, and I'm sure better ones exist.....somewhere. First bought a pair five years ago at Dick's Sporting Goods in Orlando. I was going to pay "twice" the cost of any flips heretofore purchased. For me, they just looked more comfortable than what I was wearing, so I bought a pair. Hardly had them off my feet for the next month. (they clean up like new with a little dish soap and a small brush) I've been wearing them exclusively since then. I'm 65 and not giving up my flips and, with the Reef's I don't have to. Worth every penny for the comfort. Ever since the first pair, I've bought the rest from Amazon. Find a closeout or a real special deal, even better.

Just awesome!
These are by far the most durable and comfortable flops on the market! I have blown through many pairs of these and I usualy get two or more years out of them. Live on the beach so i do just about everything in them. Fishing, kayaking, sitting, beer drinking, grass mowing and many other activities. The foot texture keeps your foot planted when there wet (unlike other brands and materials) the cusion sole helps my old joints cruze the beach effortlessly and the bottle opener on the bottom has gotten me out of many jams. I love the classic smooth styling thats not obnoxious at all and there even welcom in my church! These things are $60 everywhere else so if you dont get these off Amazon for an amazing $36, your just plane wrong!

Comfortable and Versatile - And they can open my beer ;-).
I've probably owned 4 pairs of these Fannings over the past several years. Probably the most comfortable and versatile pair of flip flops I've found, which is why I keep going back to them. I wear an 11.5 to 12.5 running shoe, depending on the brand, and the size 12 Fanning fits perfectly. The 11 works okay for my foot size, but it's a little short on the heel. Will definitely buy another pair after I wear my current ones into the ground again :-).

... one size larger than normal but the company was happy to exchange them
They are on the small size and had to change mine for one size larger than normal but the company was happy to exchange them, wore them for 10 days solid travelling around Thailand and they are without a doubt the best flipflop I have ever purchased, well worth the money.
