⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great budget unit from a Time honored and respected brand
A good stereo for what it is. Sound is good, the fact that the sound options allow you to optimize based on the vehicle is nice. I have a minivan, and it allows you to customize the sound for that vehicle. If you’re expecting a high end sound, this isn’t a Cadillac. You’re not buying a Bose sound system. But for the money it’s not bad. This is my 3rd JVC unit and this didn’t disappoint. Great unit. Keep in mind: NO CD player. But when all my music is digitized either on an iPod or my iPhone, what is the need? I do have an iPhone 11, and it paired no problem! My old unit was free m 2013 and it was not staying connected so I was prompted to upgrade. Controls are simple, easy to read. Want a budget minded system from a time tested and respected brand? Look no further! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Update: keep in mind 50 watts x4 peak power. And 22x4 normal conditions. Sorry but with 6 speakers in my minivan…. It’s not all that loud. There are times I’d really appreciate more sound amplification. At $120 for this, I’d expect better. The one I bought 10 years ago, another JVC unit, I paid the same and got way more power. Hey, this is still a great stereo for a budget. Even better if you’ve an amp to bump sound up a few notches. But overall had I known this, I’d have looked elsewhere. JVC you actually managed to disappoint me here. SELLER: if you’re reading this, make more clear it’s actual output please. ;)

Looks && Sounds Good!
I took some time to actually experience the radio before leaving my review. Let me start by saying that the sound quality is nice, very easy to understand the lyrics. I absolutely love the red color as we put it in an old Ford truck that has red interior. The face is nice and the display is clear both in day light and when its dark. This does have a USB slot, an AUX port, and a CD player, so you definitely have many options of what to listen to. I have been able to play Pandora and YouTube using the AUX cord, so that's always a huge plus. The buttons are easy to use, and have a nice space between them so bigger fingers can actually use it to. CD player plays smooth and I haven't had any issues with it skipping, even when we go muddin.The only thing I can say I have seen is that it does freeze sometimes. Like if I am changing the station a lot or something like that, I have noticed it freezing or lagging. Which can be annoying, but it usually only does it for a few seconds then it goes back to running the way it should be.

I love it
This item has great sound - you can clearly hear all the high and low frequencies.The radio reception is flawless.I have a coby mp300 MP3 player which is slightly larger than a memory stick. I can plug it (with no batteries) directly on the USB port and then use the Stereo's buttons to play through the songs.When the car is turned off and then on, the stereo continues where it left off - this works both with the CD and USB.The remote is functional, though I rather use the Stereo directly.The default display is a DEMO mode, which could be turned off via the directions provided in the documentation.The documentation is clear, but is provided on a newspaper type of paper.This item has many other features which I have not yet used.I used a Metra 99-7892 Dash Kit and a Metra 70-1720 Wiring Harness to install it in a 96 Accord.The faceplate comes off in case you park your car in a less than desirable area.The only thing missing is SD card input, but giving the price I paid for this (about $67), I can not complain at all.I highly recommend this item.

Decent Single-Din
This is in my 1989 Mazda Miata NA6 base which had an after market radio from the 90s. Installation was easy. I wanted something with BT streaming. The settings are a little cumbersome which I expected. It's pushing just two 5.25 Kickers and then the pre-outs are going to a single sub. The BT takes a second to connect to my phone but once it's connected I have no problems. Also connects with Pandora, Spotify, etc. I like how it has a USB and audio jack as well. I didn't want anything high end but was still pleased by the quality.

BETTER THAN TWINS AND A 12 PACK
I had many people recommend to me that I should get other brands.... That being said they were Wrong. This things got more setting than a liberal things are genders and sexuualities. Somehow I can have sound lift and it works just as it says. I can choose speaker sizr tweeter size car type whether or not I have a sub bass boost preset eq's an easy eq set with bass mods and treble or go deeper with all them numbers. Songs roll right over the screen with title and artist. Shoot the USB plug charges faster than an illegal running from ice. IF YOU WANT A QUALITY PURCHASE THIS IS THE ONE. go ahead and check Crutchfield and Metra for the wiring harness that will conect to your vehicles existing harness and the plastic to hold it in. Don't use them butt connecter or anything else make it clean and solid using a solder seal wire connector

Decent for the price have had better though
Increased sound quality and volume by a lot but the menus are a little hard to work through, the screen doesnt get bright enough to see during the day even with 20% tint all the way around and it just feels super cheap. But if all you want is functionality this will be perfect for you.

Top notch unit
The features in this unit are unbelievable considering the price!Update- 8-11-19I’m still blown away by this head unit. I’ve been away from car audio for quite a while, but the specific audio features/tweaks that are in the menus are awesome. To think years ago we used to have to splice I to speaker wires to exclude set frequencies to a specific speaker... now all done in a simple menu.Better yet is the price. My days of spending $600-900 on a head unit are gone. It’s years later, and this thing blows it away at a fraction of the price.Currently have mine tied to a smaller Alpine amp with an 8” sub tucked away in a ‘69 Buick Skylark. Couldn’t ask for more!
